Re: TES Skyrim 0.250

Maegirom wrote:Hi. 2 questions here.

I was using 0.246 and I don't know why, but I had not the lens flare effect of the sun (I'm talking about those 4 white circles that spam when you look at the sun). I was not worried about this 'cause I'm using a custom corona texture for the sun.
But now, I'm using 0.250, I haven't changed any file, except d3d9.dll, and now I have an exagerated lens flare effect. The 4 circles spam even when I'm not looking directly to the sun.
Which is the file where I can tweeak this? And how to?

And another question:
Randomly, the weather editor window becomes blank. The weather settings still are running for each weather but I can't change it due to the window is empty. I have tried "load" button in general window, free vram key, loading a savegame... The problem is mainly oresent when i force a weather with "fw" command, although other times the weather window becomes empty without having done anything. The only solution so far is exit and re enter the game. Any suggestion?

Thanks.
This was actually discussed earlier in this thread. I occasionally have the same problem and the fix is to go to the bottom right of the whether window, where the scroll bar should be. Click and hold like you were just going to scroll up and the scroll bar will appear and you'll see all the variables. For some reason the window scrolls extremely far down to well beyond where the parameters are and becomes VERY small. But if you just grab it and scroll up, everything will work fine again.

Boris
I finally managed to get a screenshot of this so you know what we're talking about:

If you look closely you can see a very small scroll bar on the bottom right of the weather window. This is just from opening the GUI and showing the weather window. Is a fix possible?

Can anyone tell me where exactly to download this from? I can't find the link anywhere.

Turn off SunGlare under EFFECT. Alternatively, try out alternative enbsunsprite.fx/ensunsprite.tga:s from ENB presets.

@Boris
Could it be that EnableComplexFilter for SSAO has problems i get better results (less artifacts) without it or is there a dependency ?

Warz
I can't recreate the same issue, so may be soneone else from old users will try out and say what should i do to see this by myself.

Phinix
I can't modify weather files, what is done that's can't be touched if not a bug.

Maegirom
enbsunsprite.fx file or it's properties in shader window.
Are you sure weather window is empty, not scrolled down as Jafin16 wrote?

EnableComplexFilter
EnableComplexFilter always work better by quality.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.250

Hi again.
About the sunsprite issue I have managed to tweak it with enbsunsprite.fx (just reducing first intensity value) It's fine now.
About the empty weather screen, the truth is that the issue seems to be gone. Maybe it's that I was 0laying with the FIRST 0.250 version. After updating it seems it's all ok. Anyway if this happens again I'll try to do the "scroll trick", maybe is just this, don't know...

Ok, new issues and new questions!

1) I have noticed that when mist is enabled and I'm looking through a flame (my own torch for example), the horizon line is very prominent, through the surface's portion filled by the flame itself. This effect is higly noticeable at night. When I deactivate mist, the horizon line is not visible through the flame (as it should be). EXAMPLES:

First, with mist DISABLED, the flame of the torch is fine:

Second, with mist enabled, you can see the horizon line through the flame.

I have tried with various mist settings but the only thing that seems to fix this is disabling mist at all. Any idea?

2) The second question maybe should not be here, but...

What do I have to do to be able to tweak parameters in SHADER WINDOWS? Now I only can tweak "lens" menu. The other ones are empty, just showing "profile:default" or something like that, I can't remember well...

I took a single lenz.fx file from one preset in nexus, and the option for customizing lenz appeared in shader window. Can I do something to make the other features to show in shader window so I can tweak it from there? Or may I download another .fx files "prepared" for this?

Thanks.

BTW, AWESOME work with moon lightening clouds. It is a feature I was hopping and requesting long time ago an it is a WOW!
thanks.

Maegirom
GUI parameters won't show up for individual shader files unless the necessary code is present in those shader files. There are some examples on Nexus of shader files that have lots of GUI implementation:
ENB Resources for Skyrim by --JawZ--
Skyrim Visual Immersion Series ENB Resource by Matso
I'm not 100% certain that this qualifies, but Boris already said he's going to fix Mist bugs after volumetric clouds are implemented, saving him from possibly having to fix it twice.

Thanks to take some time checking this.
I have tried others things but bug still remains :

- Removing all my other mod, no confilts
- Downloading again d3d9.dll & enbhost.exe from your site
- Try some other load order configurations
- Enable/Disable Mist

So if someone have this issue, please just tell me :) For now i am using this good END without that mod !

Re: TES Skyrim 0.250

Boris - bugreport related to enbhelper.dll

So, a few months ago some user came to me, reporting weird flashing sky during sunset when enbhelper.dll was present. At this time I couldn't reproduce his bug and he was using optimus hardware, which is not very nice with ENB. But, I currently face the same problem when enbhelper.dll is preset.

Sky starts flashing during sunset (slight brighter flashes about every 1.5 second)
Using tfc 1 command disables ENB lighting and some other features of the sky.

I don't have video recording software but here's screenshots of with and without tfc 1

normal, don't mind lighting, not ideal... I still coding... haven't done most weather settings yet

when I do command tfc 1

I dug up a video of a user reporting the flashing... it's light but there, see the sky/lighting (sorry resolution is horrible, I don't have recording software or I would of shot my own)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yt_4QtH66lI

I tried to disable ToD --> fixes the issue, but isn't root cause
I removed enbhelper.dll and left ToD active --> issue is gone
I played with ToD values and such with enbhelper.dll preset, issue persists.

It appears to be a problem with enbhelper.dll

This wasn't preset in previous binaries. But I pretty sure you haven't changed anything related to this (or I haven't noticed) so I am puzzled.

Edit: oh yes, you need hardware/OS specs;
Intel i5 - GTX680/4GB driver: 320.49 - Win7 x64 - No MSI Afterburner or such running.

Edit2:
So after further digging on all variables I found the root cause. It only happens when I use Ningheim race. How can a race influence ENB? Odd as ever.
