Try deleting the file "rendererinfo.txt" found in the same folder as your skyrim.ini file and restart your game. The "rendererinfo.txt" file will be recreated when Skyrim starts.

Hope this helps.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.251

I am also getting a crash on 0.251 with a clean install when starting a game that goes away when I disable the ENB in ENB Manager. The crash persists when I set UseEffect=false. The game launches (through SKSE 1.7.0), I get a blank, black fullscreen window for a few seconds then crash to desktop with no messages being displayed to say ENB was initialised.

Is there anything I can check or post to help track this down?

It might help Boris if you provided some more information, such as:

Does it crash with the latest non-alpha version of SKSE?
What was the last version of ENB binaries that worked for you?
Have you tried with freshly generated Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini files?

Typically what happens when people report crashes is Boris asks what version last worked for them so he can then start producing test builds (that you are expected to test and report results on). If you just report a crash without any baseline, it's not a good starting point unless it's a known issue.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.251

Yes I still get the crash with 1.06.16 SKSE and the 0.251 dll. I get the crash with SKSE 1.06.16 and 1.07.0 and the 0.236 dll. I get the crash with 0.251 set to ENBoost only. The .inis are brand new and set up according to Skyrim Revisited LE.

I should add that I am using Kaspersky Pure 3.0 but even when I disable File Antivirus, Application Control and System Watcher, I still get the crash. This is a new build PC with clean Windows 8.1 so feel free to suggest anything I should check such as DirectX.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.251

I'm tempted to say did you try setting ExpandSystemMemoryX64 to false in the enblocal.ini?
Are you using any form of Sheson's memory patch?

Most likely not a ENB issue but sounds to me like junk ware. You got something running in the background that messes with ENB. Believe it or not there are a ton of things that that can d othis and most of them have nothing to do with graphics. Anything from Razer tends to cause this, any game boosters, process managers, memory cleaners they can all cause issues with ENB. Sometimes programs that people did not expect cause the issue. Plus you are on windows 8.1 and Skyrim seems to be hit and miss with that system.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.251

I have a little more info... I removed the SRLE tweak "sIntroSequence=" from the .ini file and noticed that I got the 0.251 ENB white text message on screen with the 780ti correctly detected. The Bethesda logo faded in and faded out and THEN it crashed to desktop. What event is happening after the logo fades out?

When I switch to the vanilla Skyrim profile in Mod Organizer, the same crash happens. If I launch Skyrim from Steam so no mods are used apart from the 0.251 ENB, I still get the crash.

Yes I set the ExpandSystemMemoryX64 to false - no effect. The only thing that would influence the memory is the SKSE 1.7.0 but it crashes when I go back to the non-alpha version too.

EDIT to rwillia157 - I wonder if it is some of the ASUS ROG tools?
