So I recently built myself a computer for my games however I have been running into an issue with skyrim. whenever I try to launch the game with an enb mod installed the game will start as normal but as soon as it finishes playing he Bethesda logo the game crashes to desktop without any form of error message. this happens with both the wrapper and injector versions, I have tried re-installing both he game and he enb and disabling any background systems I can find that affect my graphics card or skyrim itself, I have not installed any mods besides enb version 0.236.

I am at the end of my rope here, no mater what I try the game always seems to crash as soon as it starts to load the main menu.

The stats for my computer are:
CPU- intel i5 3570 ivey bridge 3.4 GHz
GPU- EVGA Geforce GTX 660 2Gb super clocked
Ram- Corsair 8Gb
OS- Windows 7 home premium 64

I am running the game from an external hard drive if that helps.

I'm having the same issue, except mine starts the little rectangle block, then gives me a "Skyrim has unexpectedly stopped working" error. This is one of many crash logs. After repeatedly starting Skyrim, I can eventually play, but it's annoying that I have to launch Skyrim between 3-12 times before it works. I've narrowed it down to being an issue with the d3d9.dll file, as I installed a completely vanilla Skyrim with nothing but the DLC's, but as soon as I add an ENB/d3d9.dll files, I get this error.

OK I got it working thanks to some help from the Nexus users, apparently enb used direct X 9 but windows 7 and 8 don't come with it installed so I had to go to the Direct X page and download it manually.
