Re: Dark Souls 2 v0256
Hey, I'm having some issues with flickering ambient occlusion (not the ghosting). In certain areas it turns on and off if you angle the camera a certain way. Is this an issue with the ENB and is it fixable? And if not, are you able to force ambient occlusion by other means? Thanks.

If other versions fails to work, most of them, this still can be because of issues with shader recompiler for example, because old generic version don't have it at all. As you understand, it's impossible that all those versions have same bug and it's only appear in DS2.

I don't know such places and don't have save games to them. If this happen even at the beginning of the game, then it's impossible to fix from my side at all as i don't have the issue, so it's not "debugable".

Ah okay, I missed it before. This works better than Durante's tool
I had that 16:10 bug before but it seems like it's gone now, I'll try to replicate it though.

Yeh I get this too. When I face certain directions AO switches off, but only in that direction.Sundalen wrote:Hey, I'm having some issues with flickering ambient occlusion (not the ghosting). Re: Dark Souls 2 v0256
It seems to happen in alot of areas. One of the worst is Heide's Tower of Flame. But also Majula and Bastille seems to have the samme issues. I'll post some pictures in a bit.ENBSeries wrote:kaffeekranz

EDIT:
As you can see when the angle changes so does the AO. What seems to be interesting though is that the vanilla AO seems to replace it. If you look at the arm on the right there is an AO effect. This is not an character shadow since the silhouette around the arms moves with the camera.

Re: Dark Souls 2 v0256
FYI Dark Souls 2 is officially a VAC 'protected' game. If we get banned for using graphic mods I'll be so upset, especially considering the actual cheating tools are undetectable by VAC.

Thanks for the update Boris, sadly
ForceFakeVideocard=true
ForceNVidiaCard=true
ForceNVidiaCaps=true
won't remove the pink artefacts for me but oh well. Maybe bardack01 can share what he did in addition since he has the same AMD card.
Strange enough in the in-game editor it doesn't show those two activated under Global, they also won't stay enabled no matter what I do if I change them within the game menu. I will see if I can get it working.
E: Alright, wickfuts ENB config was the cause. I used the vanilla one and it worked. Thanks a lot for fixing it!

VAC enabled indeed.
I'm waiting a bit see how all of this turns out.

Re: Dark Souls 2 v0256
Update : Like an idiot I noticed my drivers weren't up to date .. I am now running the 335.23chifu wrote:Thanks for the update, the bottom bar has actually disappeared, but the screen remains deformed :ENBSeries wrote:Version updated, download again
Fixed (i hope so) 16:10 screen aspect ratio artifacts and strange device reset bug when working with ENBSeries in-game editor while level is loaded (i still don't know why it happen, some crap in the game code).
default : http://puu.sh/8qWnd.jpg
ENB 0.256 : http://puu.sh/8qWod.jpg
Strangely enough it doesn't affect the UI..
Also this version seems to have introduced some artifacts I didn't see previously on some surfaces (the chairs, the mace ..), maybe it's linked to the stretched screen : http://puu.sh/8qWoV.jpg
And I report also another minor artifact which happens only in specific area (the tree house at the beginning since I haven't got very far) : http://puu.sh/8qWm5.jpg
The tree and the background beyond the door disappear as soon as I enter the area and reappears one second after ( http://puu.sh/8qWX3.jpg )
So the 16/10 bug won't happen all the time depending on the preset, same thing goes for the others bugs of this quote
For instance, with WickFutENB I've got the 16/10 bug, but not with Pure ENB
I don't know if it can help
edit : your 0.256 wrapper files by default works fine for the 16/10 fix, but there are still artifacts in many places

It disappeared when I disabled "ForceAnisotropicFiltering" in the enblocal.ini and setting the ingame AF to mediumVuze wrote:Thanks for the update Boris, sadly

Also it seems the dark souls 2 steam page got updated with VAC enabled so I'm a bit worried using this in the future.
Btw are you vuze on neogaf?
Thanks again for all your work Boris!
