The Ambient Occlusion turns off when i face certain directions, but when I turn back it's okay.

Sundalen wrote:Hey, I'm having some issues with flickering ambient occlusion (not the ghosting). In certain areas it turns on and off if you angle the camera a certain way. Is this an issue with the ENB and is it fixable? And if not, are you able to force ambient occlusion by other means? Thanks.
Yes there is some flickering and popping with AO sometimes. You can usually test that in Majula also (the main village-area, second bonfire). If you run from the obelisk at the beach to the houses it usually happens. Also if you enter new rooms or areas it flickers, like its calculating it again. Maybe the AO is not present everywhere and there is some kind of drawdistance to it?

Anyway, thank you Boris so much for your hard work! We appreciate it!

Thanks, I will try that bobby1, maybe this will get the wickfut config working, it runs on vanilla without the glitches. And yes, I am ;)

E: Turning off ENBs AF worked, thanks!

Actually when you look at wickfutENB video here you can clearly see the AO popping when he climbs up the stairs and goes in the room. (hope posting this link is not against rules or anythig)

Re: Dark Souls 2 v0256

Created an account just to say THANKS BORIS.

This is looking fantastic so far! Its such a drastic improvement over the original flat lighting.

I'm running a radeon 7950
Not experiencing any pink artifacts on my machine.
Still having AO flickering. It seems like it is most noticeable during drastic lighting changes (going from interior to exterior)

Even though you aren't a fan of Dark Souls, please keep working on this. We all really appreciate your efforts.

I've got those artifacts flickering with every ENB presets, even with default ENB. They happen in several places and disappears following the angle of the camera, I've no idea why it happened all of the sudden and how to fix them.
I've got the 323.65 NVidia drivers with default setup, no nvidia inspector, GTX 660, win 7 64bits, 1680x1050 (same with 1900x1200). I tried to disable every effect from ENB, no change

Ambient occlusion is based on my own algorithm, it's not ssao/hbao/hdao etc. I don't know any alternative to it, may be ssdo is close to mine ssil. In DS2 i don't use (yet?) albedo for computations, so it's not hq as in Skyrim. The noise of it is much lower than other existing algorithms which i know (at same performance and detail). I did many technical shots in skyrim topics, but guess it's hard to find them now as i did a lot of posts after that time. I can make new, if it's important.
Well, it's not "important" but i'd like to see/know more if possible.

Re: Dark Souls 2 v0256

this bug is because of the enblocal.ini. Just take the enblocal.ini of the original ENB files. I fixed it that way.
