A bit off topic but I need help with water.

I'm using Realistic Water Two + Realistic Water Two - ENB Textures
and then Watercolor for ENB and Realistic Water Two

I want my ENB to look like this picture from another ENB with that water mod:

I copied and pasted the [water] settings that ^ enb had into mine and I got this:

How do I make the water brighter and not so dark like in that first picture?

That's done through the enbeffect.fx file or SweetFX settings.

It's a combination of effects and settings. The preset you copied the settings from are in general more intense in the brightness. Tweak around with the other preset a bit to learn where the other settings that affects the water so much resides.

But on the top of my mind I would start looking into the FrennelMultiplier and FrennelMin, FrennelMax values as well as the intensity of the sky. Directlighting may also be good to look over as well as ambient.

For instance I usually set the FrennelMultipler at max and adjust the intensity of the effect by FrennelMax value, for some reason don't ask me why just seems simpler to me personally.

Can anyone tell me why Im not getting those awesome under water effects?

I have enbhelper in my skyrim folder and I've tested using the [underwater] settings from a few other ENB's but its just totally clear under the water.

it should be in the enbseries folder

also skyrimprefs ini you have may be setup wrong because you are using someone else's edit that mess with [ImageSpace] dof setting inside. For the live of me I dont udnerstand why mod authors advise to turn of game dof effect.

Hi Boris, big ENB fan here.

I was wondering, is there any chance you could implement some sort of motion blur? It's an underrated effect in games, that, especially if done well (based on object speed and rotation, not just camera movement) can look very, very realistic. And it also makes low framerates look smoother.


And before someone says that motion blur isn't realistic or something like that, try having a clear image of your finger when you move it around fast. Also, try looking at the spinning blades of an helicopter and tell me if you see it blurred or not.

Maybe i'm missing something, but imo motion blur is applied in HARDWARE based on Universe API(the one developed by the God) when the image from the monitor is being transferred to your eyes.
As for the "it makes low framerates look smoother": motion blur will probably eat quite some FPS, so we make low FPS look smooth by lowering the FPS even more.

I wonder if there is something to make the vegetation less noisy. Fog makes the vegatation even more pixelated espescially trees. Is there something to reduce it? Do i need better textures?

Motion blur is one of the less performance hungry effects, if done well. In many games when I enable it I get zero performance hit. (Planetside 2, Crysis 2, Warface, etc).

As for the first part of your post. I didn't quite understand what you mean, but I think you said that motion blur is already there, created by your eyes when you look at something "moving" fast on your screen. Truth is that the screen is basically pixels quickly changing colors, there is nothing actually moving, so there is obviously no motion blur in games, except if added by the developer. By creating motion blur in games, the illusion of 3D objects moving instead of pixels changing colors gets enhanced even more. And this can help at low framerates, when the illusion of moving objects given by frames is less visible. I hope you understand what I mean, my english isn't the best.

I had the same issue but no more.

SunScatteringMultiplier=10.

Then adjust Muddiness, ReflectionAmount and FrennelMultiplier.
