Boris I've found the cause.
1 - Helmets:
There are some helmets in the game, Not all helmets, that when wearing seem to cause the flickering to occur: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fo7SLgzQDfs
This is the strangest thing i have ever seen. All open helmets (where you can see the face) have no flickering, whereas as all closed helmets(where you can't see any of the face) cause flickering.
2 - Zooming in with a Bow:
Even if you are not wearing a helmet that causes the flickering, zooming in with a bow will cause the AO flickering in the areas that it would occur if you were wearing a helmet.
Also to add to my previous post about how when an arrow hits a wall it causes AO to turn on for a split second, this only seems to happen when the arrow hits a surface that causes a spark (such as stone or metal): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wf1vH39H3Zw

Re: Dark Souls 2 v0257
The only reason I can think of that causes closed helmets to cause flickering is when you wear a closed helmet it replaces the head model completely with the helmet model. Whereas having an open helmet just adds the helmet model on top of the head model.

Those white-outs are probably bloom or lens related. Tweak the shaders or turn off the effects in enbseries.ini

For all - try to test AO flickering with open and closed helmets(open - when you can see the character's face, closed - when the face is fully enclosed and it is not visible). I do not have any AO bugs with all my open helmet, but they immediately appear when i wear all my closed helmet! WTF :?

I agree. All closed helmets, where the face is not visible at all, have the flickering. Whereas all the open helmets, where you can see some part of the face, have no flickeringzenox84 wrote:Я не знаю что с этими шлемами не в порядке но пропадание ссао у меня(и скорей всего у всех) связано напрямую с ними - все шлемы с открытым лицом не вызывают этого глюка,но стоит только одеть шлем закрывающий полностью лицо персонажа как сразу вылазит эта проблема!

Re: Dark Souls 2 v0257
Test version didn't crash upon loading Majula but crashed when trying to teleport there later. Then again this sometimes happened on older versions (ie not immediately crashing).

Here's some examples of helmets that do and don't cause flickering.
These closed helmets cause flickering
These open helmets don't cause flickering
