Re: TES Skyrim

No doubt I'm late on this news...

Congrats to charlievoviii, OhKay, Pfuscher, prod80, Saberus, Unreal, WoodsOfYpres and WorshipTheSatan

I saw a really nice article on your screenshots at the following site...

http://www.dsogaming.com/tag/the-elder- ... -v-skyrim/

Some of them are astonishing!!

EDIT - Apparently I made the cut this past January. :) Just goes to show I'm out of touch with the current ENB releases. Might be time to jump back in the game :)

Re: TES Skyrim

Hello everyone, I have been following enb for a while now and really enjoy seeing what you all come up with. I've used many different presets over the past year and a half but just recently decided to try making my own (mainly because I don't know much of anything about hlsl and still don't). Dark Souls 2 was my first attempt at making a preset but be since that doesn't seem to have a very bright future I'm trying to put something together for Skyrim.

Now that that's done here are a couple of shots with what I have so far.

Re: TES Skyrim

woohoo I'm famous, bow down peasants. :D just kidding. The author took an experimental screenshot from me with bethesda's most shittiest alpha map :-)
Well at least my better textures are in a few of the other screenshots.

@Deriest: try immersive hud, screenshots really looks nicer without hud

From today: Made a seamless tree, why is that fucker not seamless at all?(can't be seen in the screenshot how terrible it is) Is there someting wrong with the tree meshes? It's an aspentreebarkcomp.
It also does not look half as good ingame as it should. I'm guessing it's the mesh, it looks like the resolution got halfed. I'm fucking angry.
Also, does the birch/aspen has too much specular lightning? It's standing in the full sun, but it's still wood, dunno. Be honest.

Well then some water, from that cool water mod realistic water two. The foam is from the other famous water though.
Rocks are from skyrim realistic overhaul with custom parallax.
Question: Is there a wet rocks mod that doesn't overwrite the normal map? Alternative method would be changed meshes? would suck too to change them again, well lets try

charlievoviii
Thank you sir.

far327
Come back mate! I miss your style :)

Pfuscher
Your screens have an insane amount of contrast, i suggest you change that if you want to showcase texture related stuff.

Re: TES Skyrim

@Pfuscher
why does your textures render so flat? something isn't right. As LucidAps already mentioned definitely turn down your contrast, I know people like a overexpose stuffs to hide the flaws or it try make it look real. What are your tree mods? I think i know what you did. Some other tree mods only work with Flora Overhaul BASIC and not the other editions.

Re: TES Skyrim

Well the tree went shitty, but I wasn't aware the rest is too contrasted. Maybe I'm used to it or its my shitty monitor :/
I got sweetfx sharpening activated, that could also be a factor. I guess you guys use a preferable enb sharpening or am I wrong?
I'll look into which flora overhaul version I got
