DS2 has it's own kind of reverse adaptation, probably trigger-based. So it darkens when you go into a tunnel or something, and lightens up when you go outside. There's no way to remove it, but you can compensate for it somewhat by using enb adaptation (e.g. lower min value at night than in the day.)
As for the different profiles, I think they're just different postprocess formulas. I've always found 2 to be a good baseline.

Hi there! There's a glitch at the very begining of the game (just in the very first scenario) related to godrays I guess. A big black gap in the sky far, it were supposed to be white and shinny.
