Can you run the game without ENB just fine? If you have mods installed, it could be the simple issue of a missing master for one of your other mods. Just thought I'd point that out as it's sometimes the simple things we forget And how about just using ENBoost?

Re: TES Skyrim 0.254
Yep, the game runs fine without ENB. As I said previously, it also runs fine with the older 0.108 and 0.119 ENB binaries; it's only the 0.254 binary that causes it to crash. I tried disabling all of the memory reducing features of 0.254 to see if that was the problem, but it still crashed after the Bethesda logo.Jafin16 wrote:TwoArmedMan15

Edit: Is there any crash log that I could access that might identify the problem? Thanks.
Another edit: I tried running 0.254 with just ENBoost (UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics=true), and Skyrim still crashed.
Edit 3: Could it be a DirectX version issue? Since I just wiped my system, I've only installed the DirectX versions that came with the OS and Skyrim.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.254
Installing DirectX runtime could help it seems.

Yes, DirectX was the problem! I downloaded and installed the most recent version of DX9.0c, and, now, everything works fine. Thanks for the assistance.aleanne wrote:Installing DirectX runtime could help it seems.

About caustics or transparent colorful shadows, have you seen any object in the game with material property which fit such computation? Because i don't. And there is no way to implement this from my side, it must be done with full access to engine and game resources (static projector is all i can do).

enbhelper.dll is not covered by license of enbseries, so you may post it on Nexus. But i strongly advise to not do this, because there are many users who share viruses there masked as popular mods.

Not sure if this is a known problem or not, but fire seems to all but disappear when Mist is behind it. I do not have screenshots available right now, pretty easy to setup:
- hold a torch and view the flame where mist is applied behind the flame
- enable/disable Mist to verify
If there is a workaround, appreciate knowing what it is.

It's known (try a search of "+fire +mist"). Here are a couple of relevant responses from Boris on the subject:Dinkledorf wrote:Not sure if this is a known problem or not, but fire seems to all but disappear when Mist is behind it. I do not have screenshots available right now, pretty easy to setup:

If you use 64bit OS, than leave it at true, simple as that. AS far is ENB not loading. Well what ever ENB you are using you need you read whatthat ENB maker recommended ENB version you should use. You can't just throwing different ENB versions with different ENB settings. Doesn't work like that.TwoArmedMan15 wrote:I'm aware of this and am using SKSE v1.6.16.zenox84 wrote:If you use the latest Alpha 1.7.0 skse version then ExpandSystemMemoryX64 should be set to false. Just to see if it would work, I tried the old 0.108 and 0.119 binaries, and Skyrim loaded up and played.
Anyone else? I still have no idea what the problem is. As I said, I've ran ENB (including the most recent 0.254 binary) many times in the past without any crashes. Just since doing a clean install of my system has this problem occurred; however, I haven't changed anything with my system, other than installing my games on a separate SSD. I even tried rolling back to the Nvidia 314.22 drivers, to see if it was an issue with the recent drivers, but the crashing continues. Any help would be much appreciated!

If you check a couple of posts above, TwoArmedMan15's issue is already solved...charlievoviii wrote:If you use 64bit OS, than leave it at true, simple as that. AS far is ENB not loading.
