Sorry, i missed your post
In that case, any chance we can get access to register values in lens? I was going to write out the values to pixels from effect and read them in lens, but it lens is first, I can't do that.
No, enblens.fx do not have source texture which is content of frame buffer, copying data to such texture is just wasting performance, because lens are overlay sprites and nothing else. For more complex lens effects, another shaders available.

dehydrated
I have never seen ao or shadows issues dependent from water, so can't fix that. It's probably per videocard or game setting.

ARK
Increasing quality of AO or filtering quality. There are several ways to do that at different cost of performance and visuals, hard to explain in short.

Re: Fallout 3 / New Vegas 0.249

Re: Fallout 3 / New Vegas 0.249

Hey Boris I know you said you were done updating ENB for New Vegas but could you please attempt to fix some of the remaining bugs? Skyrim doesn't need anymore updates and New Vegas is such a great game and deserves more love. Anyway I'll post some of the bugs I have found.

FixTransparencyBugs causes some interior ceilings to be transparent in Old World Blues, it also causes certain textures to be invisible (Niner's head and at least 1 other texture from Spice of Life mods)

During the rocket launch at Repcon when inside the testsite balcony everything becomes doubled

Detailed shadows need to be darkened, when using vanilla or lighter modded textures you can see some of the texture through the shadow (looks very unnatural)

Detailed shadows indoors are really buggy and seem to crawl randomly on ceilings

Please Boris, people still love this game. Check out Onix ENB for some motivation ;) http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/55318

Re: Fallout 3 / New Vegas 0.249

I noticed the Fallout ENB doesn't have:

Code: Select all

UseDefferedRendering=false
Does that mean it can't be run with the games Anti-Aliasing?

This was discussed many times and i'm not very interested to fix game bugs, transparecny can't be fixed at all from my side.

RoadKillNL
Why not just read description of the mod with it requirements were clearly written that antialiasing unsupported?

Re: Fallout 3 / New Vegas 0.249

I know you're not very interested to fix bugs and that an ENB has to be popular for you to spend time on it but New Vegas is such a great game and can look just as good as Skyrim.

Please if you find the time, try to fix the detailed shadows a bit. The Transparency bugs are pretty minor anyway.

Maybe an option to darken and blur the edges of the detailed shadows?

Darken shadow was there. It got removed. It was a bad idea to remove it imho. More control the better.

And yes Boris I know that we should control Ambient settings.

Re: Fallout 3 / New Vegas 0.249

The ambient settings don't darken shadows at all, it just makes the environment darker around them and they are still transparent.

I have to turn it down so low to even see the effect and it ruins my preset.

Re: Fallout 3 / New Vegas 0.249

Boris said many times that he would not work on Fallout anymore.

I only wish he would make the shadow routine available on a external shader file,
that way he could leave the fixing of shadows to other people who still want to work on it.

But i guess that's just wishful thinking on my side..
