Re: TES Skyrim
Which is best to lighten shadows during the day?
AmbientLightingCurveDay
or
AmbientMinLevelDay?
They both seem to achieve roughly the same thing ...

Amazing shots - very good compositions
kaffeekranz
You have a beautiful style - love the subtle colours
LucidAPs
WOW - that lighting and tonal balance is superb
More shots with Kinematic ENB Southern Lights, downsampled from 4k (this ENB loves 4K! Same can't be said of my setup with it though )

LucidAPs, electricsheep
Some very nice shots.
haints
Tweak [SKYLIGHTING] stuff to darken/brighten shadows. AmbientLightingIntensity affects other things not only shadows.

Testing that new DoF. :9

Re: TES Skyrim
I have a Problem with the TK ENB (my favorite), that i dont have with other enb`s (for example opethfeldt). If i enable supersampling in enblocal.ini and set the resolution right in skyrimpref.ini to get downsampling, half of my screen is black after enable enb ingame.
do you know what is wrong with it? pls help

Re: TES Skyrim
Hey, thanks for all the compliments guys!
@Saltr: The blue was a bit too intense for my taste, especially when everything during the day is completely blue.
@Insomnia: I actually started with the blue/purple tone a few months back, when you first started doing the blue tonemapping.
At first I tried to imitate it, but then after messing around with palettes in Photoshop I stumbled upon that combination. Works nicely for dark areas (and the palette is generally very dark), but it can get a bit annoying.
@Pfuscher, thanks man, yeah that's Windhelm. But after messing around with the parallax I start to understand why a lot of the popular "parallax maps" are just handpainted rudimentary grayscale images. It's very hard to get them right and avoiding the stretching. But I'm getting used to it. Takes forever with NDO though.
Are you using crazybump? NDO is actually free right now, the whole Quixel Suite is free in fact. They're plugins that work inside of Photoshop therefore making your life a bit easier, because you don't have to import your maps into Photoshop after generating them inside Crazybump, etc.
That's what got a bit annoying for me after a while with Crazybump:
Crazybump -> Normal -> Specular -> Parallax -> Photoshop -> New Document -> Alpha Layers -> and so on.
It's easier doing it all inside of PS now.
@electricsheep26354: Thank you! The colours are very subtle though. Barely not existant.
@forbeatn: Might be related to the letterbox? There's values for the screen resolution inside TK's enbeffect.fx file, that you'd probably have to set correctly for the letterbox in 4K.
Don't know though if you're even using Letterbox and whether it's because of that. Sorry.
And a few shots from tonight..

in the effect.txt file, i think you have to make changes to suit your resolution in the lines below (TK 252);
LucidAPs
your pics are getting better by the posts
electricsheep26354
love your new K ENB preset. last couple of pages back with the white horse and the forest grass field are best i've seen from you yet!
K ENB , pretty much stock except the DoF i've ripped off from elsewhere...

Re: TES Skyrim
Stretching really is a problem, I haven't found a good parallax tutorial after hours with google, I have to admit. I decided to do my p maps like the other on nexus or with crazy bump/PS, when I have been even lazier.kaffeekranz wrote: @Pfuscher, thanks man, yeah that's Windhelm. If a texture consists of rough bright stone with dark mortar inbetween, than it's really no problem, but if there's some other stuff like plants or a colour problem, then it really sucks
Had some nice textures, which I couldn't use after hours of painting, because of that.
Quixel is free? But surely only parts of it, their 4k stuff looked like the best stuff I've ever seen in their preview trailer.
I'll look into it.

Re: TES Skyrim
thx for youre answers @ ohkay and kaffeekranz
problem solved. i changed resolution to "4K" under letterbox in enbeffect.fx like kaffeekranz said.
