How to reduce bloom?

As per title, using a generic ENB and trying to figure out how to reduce the bloom effect.
I have the ENB customizer program but it will not detect my ENB in this instance so cannot adjust it in the GUI.

Can someone remind me where to make this tweak in the ENBseries.ini ?

Re: How to reduce bloom?

I assume this is v0.0076 you are speaking about

In that case the options that control bloom are in enbseries.ini

and the variables that can be configured for Bloom are:

Code: Select all

[BLOOM]
BloomPowerDay=20
BloomFadeTime=2000
BloomConstantDay=5
BloomQuality=0
BloomScreenLevelDay=60
BloomCurveDay=3
BloomPowerNight=20
BloomConstantNight=5
BloomCurveNight=3
BloomScreenLevelNight=20
BloomAdaptationScreenLevel=80
BloomAdaptationMultiplier=20
BloomAllowOversaturation=1
BloomMaxLimit=100
Now I don't work much with this preset so I can't tell you how it will look with certain values, but I'm sure each variables name should give you a rough idea

Re: How to reduce bloom?

BloomPowerDay is the one. Set it between 8 and 12 somewhere. :) No need to bother with the other stuff.

Re: How to reduce bloom?

Thank you both, this worked!

Since I have you here, what about certain color grades or tones? I thought this was based on the ENBpallete bmp, but it seems no matter which one I use, it doesn't change the color grading in game.
Skyrim ones are notorious for being very red or brown.

Re: How to reduce bloom?

Look under [COLORCORRECTION] in enbseries.ini. There you should find UsePaletteTexture. Set that to 1 and you're off. :)
But whenever I want to change color tones with generic ENB I use FXAA.

Re: How to reduce bloom?

Do you mean set it to TRUE? If so, it all ready is.
And yes, I use FXAA tool and a bit of desaturation and/or technicolor.
