Thanks for the info. Haha, yeah after I saw the code was just a 16 pixel map I realized how overkill the brushes are. I was thinking a few things might be cool to add eventually. Maybe a brush choice? I think you can have more than one sampler resource. I wonder what the limit is there. But maybe some kind of scheme in the techniques with different shaders for each brush. Also, what do you think about animating the effect? Would animating offset on the bristle shifts with some kind of modulus work? Just some random thoughts. Really cool stuff. Here's the video:

Thanks to all those with kind words. I'll update this soon with one with better inking.
Is cool seeing it on Skyrim, I picked it up cheap in the Steam sale recently but haven't played it yet. Want to play it through in painty vision.

number6 - how do you mean "brush choice"? There's the round and square brushes so far...

I mean the texture/sampler for the brush

had some time to tinker. Ended up writing a kinda AO effect to help the shading

started a new shader from scratch

this be it on some stills from Fallout4, pictures from the ENB Skyrim Gallery section, and a couple of Halo ones

makes any game look like the concept art for that game

Can we expect a release anytime soon? I want to take some cool skyrim screenshots and paint them in reallife. Applying a paint effect on the source pictures would help me really.
