in skyrim, i was having a flashing problem... outside, under shadows, when facing certain directions it would flash between dark and light in a radius around the player. This goes away when I set forcefakevideocard=true.
The problem is that setting seems to force a preset of some sort... world colors are different, ambient is different, sky is different... and the shift-enter editor doesn't have any affect on most settings. Adaptation and DoF, for example, can be toggled, but none of the settings in the Environmental category have any effect when I change them.
I'm using an AMD HD7880, and as an attempted fix I upgraded to the enb 262.
Any suggestions?

Re: Skyrim ForceFakeVideoCard issue
This is obsolette feature for very old game version which was buggy too much to work without it. If you can't run the game properly with mod and ForceFakeVideocard=false, it's because of steam overlay, various overlay and monitoring crapware, wrong setting in skyrimprefs.ini and dublicated copy of it if mod manager used, driver bug or driver setting are wrong (antialiasing forced and a lot of other things amd/ati related), crossfire. And of course if your game version is very old, it also may be the reason of issues, but never reported yet.
