Youre textures are awesome, gooing to install some more soon, but my 4 GB VRam is not enough anymore (playing in 4K)

Great images ;)

So I have finally started a new project, The textures for now, but meshes will be added for more effects!

The project is called Gen5 Dragons 4K (beta)

If someone knows any better name, go ahead! :)
I don't want to sound like a dick here, but some input from me:

Personally I'd distribute the surface detail a bit less evenly and reduce it maybe a tad.
If every part of the body is equally noisy it kind of shrinks the whole thing down, so I'd maybe focus a little bit more on the overall form.

Secondly the scales on the wings and tailpiece hurt the eye a little.
I'd tone them down a lot or remove them completely, for an airborne animal they're not as much of a use as for sharks anyway and there's just toooo much going on with the various overlays.
Though the tailpiece does look considerately better than the wings.

Same thing on the bottom neck scales, way too much detail if you ask me.

Overall I very much approve though! We really need better dragons.

Re: TES Skyrim

Thinking about it and I guess Kaffekranz is right, scales at places where a flying animal needs only skin, doesn't make sense.

@all
If only my screenshots looked as good as yours..... excellent, everyone! ;)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rewrote a lot of my shaders, deleted SweetFX altogether (sharpening and SMAA were the only reason I used it) and added the SMAA Injector instead. Already looks better :)

Re: TES Skyrim

Bought a Geforce MSI 970, thought I could run skyrim just fine in 1080p. Never have been so wrong in my life.
CPU: I5 2400 3,1/3,3
Ram: 12Gb
Skyrim on Crucial MX1 SSD 512gb
Driver:344.16

Got those at quality=0

EnableBloom=true
EnableLens=false
EnableAdaptation=true
EnableDepthOfField=false
EnableAmbientOcclusion=true texture size 0,2!
EnableDetailedShadow=true
EnableSunRays=true
EnableSunGlare=false
EnableSkyLighting=true
EnableImageBasedLighting=true
EnableReflection=true
EnableSoftParticles=true
EnableParticleLights=true
EnableSubSurfaceScattering=true
EnableWater=true
EnableUnderwater=true
EnableCloudShadows=false
EnableVolumetricRays=true
EnableProceduralSun=true
EnableMist=true

SMAA but no edge AA or other AA

ReservedMemorySizeMb=1024 (256,512,2048 don't change a thing)
VideoMemorySizeMb=10240 (this is max?)

Vram performance Monitor goes to 3,5 out of 4 gb ram and crashes.
Got the Memory patch3
Does Sheson's stuff not work with the non steam version? I got no skse_steam_loader, just a skse_loader and nowhere I get "Sheson took your first born in exchange for more memory"

Memory blocks only wrote up to 256, could this be the problem? setting is 512

What other data could I provide you with?

Re: TES Skyrim

@Pfuscher
Boris said that latest nvidia drivers caused crashes so that's probably it. You should definitely be able to run Skyrim modded at 1080p with that set up.

Re: TES Skyrim

On the mainpage? There he said it causes errors who can be ignored and I don't have Nvidia Experience installed.

Oh I hate nvidia, I need Nvidia Experience for Dynamic super resolution, that sucks ass.

Are you using SKSE 1.7.1? You should be. In your SKSE.ini make sure it's set up like this:
[Memory]
ScrapHeapSizeMB=256
DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768

And whatever other stuff you want. This is the Sheson patch integrated into SKSE 1.7+. That second setting needs to be at least 768. It's setting the actual size of the heap to 512 so I'm not sure why it needs to be 768 to do that, but it does. The SKSE team could tell you or someone else here maybe knows, but I DO know it needs to be 768.

10240 is no longer the actual max for VideoMemorySizeMb= anymore. The max is WAY higher. However, I wouldn't set it any higher with your setup. There's not really a need at this point anyways. I'd set your ReservedMemory to 512. No need for 1024 IMO... though you can fiddle with it and see what works best for you.

You really should be able to run a fairly heavily modded Skyrim with that setup... although, if you're running all of your 4k textures at once it could definitely be struggling...

Does it run at all? And what kind of framerate are you getting?
