ok, thanks for the advise.
I just finish testing passing values from vertex shader to pixel shader and it works.
A friend also told me that there are only 3 levels of rain and 2 levels of snow in vanilla game. shouldn't be too hard for lens effects I guess.

depending on your weather mods and _weatherlist.ini, you need to change index range corresponded to rainlvl and snowlvl in lens.fx. Also requires rearranging rainy weather or snow weather into groups in weatherlist.ini first.

Wow, that is amazing. The way they are affected by light in the scene is so cool. Now can you combine that with the normal map and possibly varying sizes and shapes?
