Regarding the new specular parameters, is there a way to essentially ignore them and simply use the Specular amounts in the Environment section? I'm trying to rebalance specular lighting for rainy weathers (I use it to simulate things looking wet) and I just can't get it right anymore. The new parameters seem to work very differently. Or can you suggest settings that might be more "normalized"?

EDIT: Ok, I've got something that works now... not entirely happy with it, but it isn't horrible. It would still be nice to be able to more or less ignore those parameters if possible...

They are not different. Result=environmentspecular*objectspecular, so keep them 1 and they will not be used.

charlievoviii;

Most likely due to improper texture maps then.
Have a look at page 10

I am interested in what is possible with parallax terrain, though I think the effect should probably be disabled by default. When used with textures that are not designed for the effect, the results can be very ... interesting....

this exactly my issue right now. As much as i love Tamu Coast Beach Textures for Terrain Parallax textures. I will hold out on it, cause when fix terrain is enable. A lot of landscape go berserk.
