Re: TES Skyrim
@mindflux: Like I posted WAY WAY WAY back in the day when you made it... only problem I found with it was the tendency to create a tunneling pattern as you moved around. Removed all sense of the randomness of the snow flakes. Looked epic for still shots though. Never figured out how to sort that, so I left that project ages ago as well.

Aiyen
Yeah, that was like in the middle-ages It's probably impossible to get completely rid of the sense of tunneling, it's going to be always there if you go look for it. And when you see it... you know how it goes.
One reason I didn't spend too much time on the project was also that it would have been best to integrated the fx with a weather mod but since I didn't have one, it seemed kinda without point to keep on developing it.

Hey old chap, it's been a while! Great to see you back.
Thank you kind sir
I like to keep my hand in, but I've not moved on, as you can see
EDIT: BTW I remember a very realistic looking cloud mod/re-texture, but cannot remember the name of the project (not COT or Real Clouds) I wonder if it ever was released?.. whoever was doing it posted screen going back eighteen months or more ago. Does anybody know to what I am referring, and whether its still in development.

Re: TES Skyrim
@mindflux: Thank you
@32cm: Just gave tamriel reloaded HD a spin and I'm more than impressed, it looks and performs amazingly well. So far I've only encountered one texture that dind't really look in place imo and thats the ground texture in the cloud district in whiterun, but that's just a case of taste. Thanks a lot for the release I'm enjoying those textures far more than I expected.

Oh yeah, I remember that too just not the name. As far as I know it was sadly never released so it's most likely abandoned by the author after all this time.
Yep, it was hlvr's SkyReal project. The latest project thread is here I guess: http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/147307 ... ing/page-7

Ah, yes, well done Mindflux, that is the one. It looks like the project may not be dead, with the last posting on it from Nov last year, but the guy doing seems to have no time to finish it. The last post was asking for others to contribute in making weather for it and hlvr acting as a director. Texture wise it looks amazing, so I hope it sees a release.mindflux wrote:DogStar

Re: TES Skyrim
Amazing! Have been secretly trying to achieve similar skyboxes with some textures I'm working on from time to time, but the screenshots and videos posted in the thread are absolutely stunning.mindflux wrote:DogStar

Really makes me want to work harder on the clouds, but I'm afraid my texturing skills aren't quite there yet
