Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB

No problem, glad to be of help. Thanks for the inspiration actually, I've been updating this thing way too lazily...

If you spot anything out of place just let me know. You mentioned something about the windows of Whiterun farmhouses, which houses do you mean?

Love you too

Ah, yes! I forgot to elaborate on that.

The problem isn't that it's linked to the [Fire] parameter. It's linked to Windowlight as it should be... BUT

If you look at this image:

Image

You can see that the white light coming from the slits in the roof are at odds with the colour eminating from the windows.
I suppose I can live with it, but it does look rather odd in my opinion. If that light could be set to the same colour as the windows I think it would make more sense.
Interior lighting is often warm candlelit colours anyway. Thing is, I know there are mods like Visible Windows that change the colour of the large windows so I'm not sure the change would be for everyone? I myself don't change from Skyrim's default window colour if I do use texture replacers.

Is it something that could be fixed or is kind of out of the scope of your patch?

Thanks for the update mindflux!

I guess I should mention the meteor craters, or fire rock craters or whatever you want to call them. In the dragonborn DLC, near the fungus village. Those meshes could use a bit of love.

I forgot what they respond to, but in general I always think they just do not fit in...

Thanks for added info, I'll check. Right off the bat it sounds odd that the light is linked to [WINDOWLIGHT], but I have an idea.

Thanks! I'll check the craters and figure out something. By the way last time I spent half an hour looking for the damn village :D

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB

The difference in color is most likely due to the fact that it either as different emittance values attached to it in Creation Kit, or more likely the emittance value within the mesh file. Propably done so because of the windows having a "window" in front of the light while the roof "cracks" are just holes in the roof letting light to shimmer through, which would make it less saturated, but would cause such issues to appear.
As far as I can remember the exterior meshes of those houses is all one mesh instead of separated parts like their interior counterparts.

@mindflux: Oh you remember that do you! :D

Of the top of my head I cant remember the direct coc.. but here is the method I normally use because I am always at speedmult 500 and tcl. And raven rock is a nice play to test in since it has a little bit of everything in terms of light sources, textures and overall mesh placement.

coc dlc2ravenrock02
Take the main gate route out, and follow the coast towards the volcano... the first or 2nd location (as I recall there might be a fort or boat wreck before it.) of interest is the fungus village and before that on your left you will see all the craters.
