Added EnableZPrepass parameter to enblocal.ini to increase fillrate performance. It may fail if skyrimprefs.ini is not configured properly (do not touch shadow mask or zprepass there!). This optimization works by not drawing pixels behind objects close to camera, so fps boost depends a lot from camera, visible objects near and far from camera, screen resolution, video memory bandwidth.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.266
Just to add some general feedback. I don't use Vsync (haven't for two years with Skyrim as it caps my FPS at 30) but did test at least with 266. As expected enabling Vsync with or without FixLag capped me at 30. However with Vsync off and FixLag = on I had no problems. I didn't really see any noticeable improvement but my game play is fairly smooth to begin with. No noticeable stuttering either (compared to previous versions) and I have a large mix of 2K and 4K textures. Overall I saw a small performance increase in general and it has run fairly smoothly for me.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.266
@Boris,
First of all, I just wanted to offers my gratitude for your persistence with this latest release.
Secondly, might I ask what you think the Shadow Mask parameter should be set to?
I have mine currently set to 5, and Prepass is at 0 (in the SkyrimPrefs.ini).
So, leave those alone going forward and only edit the Prepass (if necessary) within the enblocal.ini file, right?
Thanks.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.266
I think he means bShadowMaskZPrepass and not iShadowMaskQuarter
And I guess both should be set at 0, since they come disabled by default.
Code: Select all
bShadowMaskZPrepass=0
bMainZPrepass=0

That seems pretty right-on the money.
Good call.
And since that's the case, presumably that won't be an issue for most of us.
Thanks.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.266
Hey Boris I have a Windows 7 64bit
VideoCard= Nvidia GTX 780 Ti -> 3072 MB
[MEMORY]
ReduceSystemMemoryUsage=true
DisableDriverMemoryManager=false
DisablePreloadToVRAM=false
EnableUnsafeMemoryHacks=false
ReservedMemorySizeMb=512
VideoMemorySizeMb=2432
EnableCompression=false
AutodetectVideoMemorySize=false
ExpandSystemMemoryX64=true
and I have 8 GB RAM 1333 Mhz
Maybe I am just a douche I have no Idea how all this stuff works really.
I just can say what I am experiencing! Thank you for the effort !

Re: TES Skyrim 0.266
Default values are:
iBlurDeferredShadowMask=3
bShadowMaskZPrepass=0
bMainZPrepass=0
bDeferredShadows=1
Dragens
Try with AutodetectVideoMemorySize=true and if not helps, reduce ReservedMemorySizeMb to 256. And i'm waiting for fps comparison between old and new versions, lags and stuttering may happen at same frame rate.
