Re: TES Skyrim 0.277
I should note that I am quite careful not to include any obsolete (i.e. removed) variables in my enblocal. Prior to testing 0.277 I removed EnableZPrepass and EnableTransparencyAA. I have done this whenever variables have been removed in a new version. As Boris suggests, it might be worth trying a fresh enblocal.ini in the event you have an enblocal.ini file full of obsolete variables.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.277
Maeldun - Same level of thinking. Tried new Enblocal, tried new embseries.ini etc...
I even deleted Skyrim.ini and Skyrimprefs.ini for new ones.
Making no sense why it is not working for me.
I have a GTX780ti with latest Driver revision.
Does v277 require specific entries in any file for it to work ?

Re: TES Skyrim 0.277
Boris, you should have a sticky post somewhere on the forums titled:
"What to do before reporting a problem"
1. Rename game install and "My Games" folders to a backup names (i.e. Rename skyrim to skyrim_bak)
2. Open Steam and validate the game files
3. Run the game launcher and let it auto configure. Turn off anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering.
4. Set "bFloatPointRenderTarget=1" in "My Games/SkyrimPrefs.ini" file.
5. Download and install default ENB setup from enbdev.com/download.htm
6. Test for problem

Binaries generates all default variables automatically. Why don't you post list of processes? I'm sure you do have crapware.

Mod don't need all of that steps. I don't understand why things are so complicated for end users.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.277
It does if you want to rule out all other causes besides ENB. Also there should be another step to disable crapware.ENBSeries wrote:Mod don't need all of that steps.

When it comes to troubleshooting bugs, I have to agree... doing any troubleshooting with users on the Nexus (or anywhere), this is how it goes...number6 wrote:It does if you want to rule out all other causes besides ENB. Without being too harsh, I'd venture to guess it's because most people don't understand how computers work and understand even less how the game works. They think "put file here and it does this!" without thinking about anything else related. I cannot tell you how many times I've seen someone talk crap about how a specific ENB preset makes their game crash only to find out they installed/uninstalled 10 other mods at the same time and ENB has nothing to do with it. Or people who think that a game completely broke their computer and they need to reinstall Windows when all that happened was a save file was corrupted... 'cuz loading a save and the game crashing is somehow a broken computerENBSeries wrote:I don't understand why things are so complicated for end users.
I'm not saying anyone here involved in this conversation has issues to the extent I described, but just in general. I'm coming to a conclusion about people - everyone else in the world is stupid, until they prove to you they're not stupid, and they're only not stupid until they do something stupid again.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.277
It's not about being stupid or not, the mod is made to run in every condition, even with all files missing, it's installation is very simple. And still, so many confusing bug reports.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.277
I just tried two other ENB's and the same still happens.
I must emphasise to my fellow colleagues here I am not new to the scene and been following and using ENB since addition v119. So I understand the requirements and process for using this exception piece of software.
Like I said before now, I have had flawless game playing since and up to v277 where only now does it CTD when entering game world. Flick back to v262 (d3d9.dll) and the computer and Skyrim are once more blissfully as one.
So what I need to understand is what have I missed or what is the wrapper v277 doing to the game differently comparing to previous additions before v277 ?
Thanks again for your patience and help guys.
