Re: TES Skyrim 0.277

@ klotim

Thanks very much for sharing that script. I have always wondered how to detect "crapware" on my machine, since most of my unnecessary processes are usually disabled manually. I often lurk forums like these and see Boris talking about "crapware" but I can never know exactly which crap I ought to disable.... I'm not a novice by any means, but far from an expert when it comes to Windows.

This is a fantastic way to close all my "crap", it will be useful for all gaming now, not just Skyrim :)

Cheers.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.277

Using only ENBoost, the FPS limiter limits my FPS to 42.X even though i set it to 60 (and 80 for testing purposes). I did not have this issue with 254. not sure what might be the culprit. anyone know what might have changed inbetween versions? are there some settings that need to be configured differently now? thanks!

edit: seems i'm not alone: http://enbdev.com/enbseries/forum/viewt ... =21&t=4449
also seems like we will not get official support for the issue. *shugs* oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

Yes, it will not be fixed, because bug is on users side.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.277

Any preset makers may confirm that amtient occlusion and reflection visualisation helped them to make better quality at same or lower performance cost than before?

Re: TES Skyrim 0.277

can confirm that i could improve SSAO. it is not only helpful for that, also very helpful when you have to keep other shaders in mind against which you have to balance that influence shadows a lot.
havent tried to go for more performance with lower filter or scales qualities and so on and stay at the same visual output quality.
reflection was also very helpful. i would not want to miss those features. they dont eat performance when visualization is off?

Re: TES Skyrim 0.277

Confirmed. It's really helpful. Thank you kindly :)

You have mentioned earlier about gamma correction ( to compensate gamma differences between monitors ). Any plans ?

I also find the visualization to be very helpful in improving quality and balancing quality/performance. It's a great feature to have for preset authors.

Guzio
No, i gave up. It's users problem and i don't want to get another one headache for myself. All led displays are crap anyway with invalid dark colors as they unable to show properly gamma correction because of huge minimal brightness they have (result=pow(minbrightness+color, 1/gamma)). With my new led almost all mod presets looks about the same and images are not breathtaking impressive any more like they were with crt.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.277

yea it is always a great difference when i watch shots with my plasma tv instead of the led monitor. but i was able to get the best results on the led monitor by using the nvidia control panel adjustments e.g. gamma there, lowering by a ton. i was using icm profiles before, that are all worse.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.277

Okay, that new ssao visualization do not have any use for the most players. Wrong direction.
