Re: VRamSizeTest v1.0

hellanios
Google it, i don't know. And services almost harmless compared to themes.
ReservedMemorySizeMb is the ram and vram area of fast data transfer, but big size means game process is closer to 4gb limit. VideoMemorySizeMb is mostly static area in vram with very low performance of data transfer from ram to vram. Everything is written in ENBoost description in readme or Nexus page of it.

Re: VRamSizeTest v1.0

Win 7 64 bit
16 GB RAM
i7
z68
GTX 680 4GB driver 350.12/353.62

dx9 11872
dx11 24544 paging enabled
dx11 14080 paging disabled

while dx9 seems stable, dx11 changes depending on how many other programs are running

Re: VRamSizeTest v1.0

Figured I'd share my results

Windows 7 64 bit (Aero turned off, on basic Win7 theme)
i7 3770k
AMD R9 290x (4GB vram)
AMD R9 290 (4GB vram)
16GB 1600MHz RAM
Page file - 16 - 2048 MB (dynamic)

DX9 - 7616MB
DX11 - 7616MB

These numbers seem to fluctuate a bit (not much... give or take 100 MB) depending on how many programs I have open. With Chrome and a couple tabs open, for example, the numbers are around 7500MB.

Re: VRamSizeTest v1.0

I have Windows 10. I use an (currently base clocked) i7-4930K with 16 GB of ram.

Graphics card: 2x EVGA GTX 980 SC ACX. 2.0 in SLI with uptodate drivers (for win10) (4GB = 4096MB) vram.

dx9 result: 4064mb
dx11 result: 13984mb

The 4096 - 4064 = 32mb vram left are the used mbs when the graphics card are idle ( used for OS, firefox browser and stuff?)

EDIT: When running windows dxdiag it says: dx12 'total' memory of the gfx card device: 16081. earlier, (with my older rig), I had dx11 4096 MB vram with a 2GB gtx 680.

Re: VRamSizeTest v1.0

Windows 7 64 bit
Nvidia GTX 980 4GB VRAM (driver 347.52)
System RAM 16 GB

dx9 test: 11872
dx11 test: 28000

The dx11 result was with no other applications running. As sheson mentioned, the more applications that are running, the lower this number will be.

The Nvidia Control Panel's System Information lists the following:

Total available graphics memory: 12003 MB
Dedicated video memory: 4096 MB GDDR 5
System video memory: 0 MB
Shared system memory: 7907 MB

Re: VRamSizeTest v1.0

so it is rather clear that NVIDIA works fine with win7 but has problems since 8(.1) to 10.
i am not sure yet if AMD really works with win8/10 for maxing out ram. it has been said, but i didnt see any post tbh.

In order to really test I think we'd need an AMD card with more than 4GB of VRAM. And unfortunately, those cards aren't particularly popular around here. I'd love to contribute but if I'm buying a new video card anytime soon (which I probably won't, not for at least 6 months and probably more) it'll be a Fury which doesn't really help this cause. We'd also need more than one person testing an AMD card, which I seem to be the only one contributing anything so there's that...

EDIT: Nvm that last part... Uriel24 has an AMD card.

Re: VRamSizeTest v1.0

Win 10 64 bit
16 GB RAM
i7 4770K
z87
2xRadeon Fury X (crossfire), driver 15.7.1

dx9 4064 mb
dx11 19.616 mb (number seems to be fluctuating?)

Using latest d3d9 injector, 279, seems to be faster with the fury's in W10 then former ones (your memory optimizations for HBM?)
but I got more stuttering

enblocal:
ExpandSystemMemoryX64=true
ReduceSystemMemoryUsage=true
DisableDriverMemoryManager=false
DisablePreloadToVRAM=false
ReservedMemorySizeMb=768 (sometimes 256 seems faster in older injectors?)
VideoMemorySizeMb=10240
EnableCompression=true
EnableUnsafeMemoryHacks=false
AutodetectVideoMemorySize=false
