Re: Fallout 4 0.280 patch

Hey Boris thank you very much for seeing into Fallout 4. I am very very disappointed with the graphics. As I saw the wife holding the baby and there was no ssao or what so every to give a plastic look. I was damn disappointed. I hope the game won't anger you too much.

Agreed! I've been very disappointed as well.

Boris,

You mentioned that there will be some features that cannot be implemented. Can you elaborate?

Thank you for working on this game!

Thanks for this Boris, cant wait till you do your magic on this :).If you could add a GAMMA setting that would help alot, the game is crazy bright at the moment :).

You can activate Nvidias HBAO, but it is too FPS heavy. HBAO kills my 770 fps from 50 to 20(!), though it looks better than the defaul ssao, which is almost unnoticable. Considering the lack of shadows from lights indoors, good SSAO is the first thing Fallout needs.

found these settings in ini dump under [Display] section:

fSAOBias=0.6000
fSAORadius=108.2000
fSAOIntensity=7.1000
bUseAsyncComputeAO=0
fAOBlurSigma=1.5000
fAORadius=20.0000
fAOLightingStrength=1.0000

You can play around with them, if you want. Maybe you can make default ssao a bit more pop and visible. Just copypaste whole thing into fallout4.ini and fallout4prefs.ini under [Display].
I don't have the game yet, so can't try it myself.

Re: Fallout 4 0.280 patch

Boris why do you say there are effects you can't implement? Which ones are you talking about? The only things the game really needs I think is a better DOF and AO for screenshots and those can be injected surely. The only really ugly thing visually in the game in my opinion is the color of fog and the ugly textures and both of those will be modded without injection.

Also please make your Fallout 4 mods compatible with Reshade.

How do you do an ini dump? Or could I get a copy of the file? There are a couple of things I want to see if I can deactivate.
