Also, I made a quick video to demonstrate the new 'character lighting fix' on ENB 0.280, check it out!

Re: Fallout 4 0.280 patch

Thank you Boris so quickly decided to make a mod, I expect you more effects, or opportunities to support fashion reshade without it, the graphics are grey and dull.

@marcurios
Looks to me like this is the Fallout 4 whine forum..

Sure there are tons of games that look better, but it's a nice game, haven't had one single bug in 20 hours of gameplay, and i have a AMD card, which seem to always have bad drivers.

Try to make a game yourself instead of crying about others games.
Hehe, good to hear from you old buddy! I too actually find Fallout 4 to be a beautiful game. It is not 'perfect', or totally 'realistic', but it has wonderful creative design and all the assets are just a delight to behold (have you seen the toaster? :) )

There's always room for ENB and other mods to change things and improve things, but I for one am very pleased with the starting point as far as Fallout 4 is concerned.

Added DisableFakeLights parameter to enblocal.ini to remove unrealistic back lighting for characters. Someone requested it here on the forum.

Regarding game graphics, i can say that Unreal Tournament 2007 (later named UT3) was stunning on screenshots and Fallout 4 kinda same, but without shadows. So difference is 7 years if compare to very top graphics of that period.

PS: finding more and more bugs of the engine and game which can't be classified as incompatibility, but pure ignorance of incompetence, talking about polishing the game is bullshit lie.
Omg, I didn't even know if you saw that request or not. I just wanted to thank you for doing this, and so soon!

I hate that so many games are starting to use this stupid effect.

Re: Fallout 4 0.280 patch

Here some fun with film stocks. I use Kingeric's 3D lut code on reshade and one of my custom adjusted 3D LUT that i used on DA: Inquisition. Don't expect some gravity changer or so this is a creative 3D LUT usage and the purpose apply it without breaking the general light setup which is pretty painful with LUT's if we think most of LUT's built based on different camera profiles (talking about specific, famous world wide Film Stocks luts). However since i'm pretty familiar with LUT usage i didn't have trouble with it. Here a Kodak 2383 Film emulation, don't expect some crazy cross process as it'd be on some Vision Color Luts. And due to ''Subtract'' coloring some color information might be lost in the way, especially the green tones :p

I thought i could use Bloom at 0.250 threshold but noticed that it was just a utopia. Without disable ingame bloom noway to apply a proper bloom amount at outdoor locations. Even 0.500 threshold gave a very strong result with it's combined with ingame bloom. So Bloom mostly i used 0.625 threshold on the shots with a slight haze gaussian bloom to cover/wash the screen. I think a Bloom shader sooner we have would be grate. DNI thingy is a must anyway. During night time noway we can trigger bloom at even 0.250 so we require different setups.

Anyway here just for fun. Waiting for Boris give us a pixel and bloom shader to make a preset. First two shots in the same area to show difference and like i said it's the whole idea adding some movie atmosphere with Kodak colors without breaking everything. Better download and check em on fullscreen.

Same here bud, i'm pleased to see no one took the bait, that shows that people are reasonable mature in here..hehe..

ofcourse i saw the toaster, i've seen that they referred to many things modders made, that being a very good thing, they have learned to steal wisely.

Exactly my thoughts, before launch i didn't expect too much, just to not be dissapointed, but the game exceeded my expectations.
Sure, there are some things that can be done better, but overall they sure made a leap in quality for Bethesda standards.

Especially the gunplay and enemy behaviour, i noticed they "borrowed"a lot from Borderlands, which is a very good thing imo.
The pipe rifles almost being a copy of the Borderlands guns overall.

And the atmosphere is superb, i loved every minute of it.

Re: Fallout 4 0.280 patch

Boris, your VSync solution has been very helpful, it's much better than the default VSync the game provides or Nvidia's adaptive Vsync. No tearing or input lag.

However, I'd like to humbly ask you look at what's causing this game to lag so much in interiors. It's ridiculous how I can be getting 60 in the open world, but when I go in somewhere, I drop down to 30. Something can't be right about that.

Corvega Assembly Plant is a great example. Just use the command tmm 1 to reveal all the map markers (same as in Skyrim) and go there, and walk inside.

Re: Fallout 4 0.280 patch

Now that Bethesda has their own AO implementation it's fun seeing the same halo around 1st person player models again.
Jesus Christ, and they don't even care.

Btw for tweaking it's easier to do it via the console so you can immediatly see what you're doing.
sao "radius value" "bias value" "intensity value"
for example:
sao 135 0.6 7

Quality wise though there's nothing you can change. It simply sucks.

 u wot m8?? Wanna fight m8?
The game isn't bad at all. It has it's pros and cons like any other game out there. But we are all here for one special reason - game doesn't look good enough for us xD

Re: Fallout 4 0.280 patch

Is this compatible with any other visual shaders via proxy library? I love the fix for the self lit characters but the color scheme in vanilla has got to go.
