Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB

I've seen this issue as well and I'd say it's mostly down to the gamma curve of the preset, meaning that all related post-processing parameters and palette play a part.

Therefore there's probably no easy fix without breaking the preset's intended look. It *might* be possible to carefully edit the affected texture map to make the issue less visible.

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB

Hi.
I think my problem is related to this topic.

I have this particle transparecny bug, with frost spells particles:
Image

When enb is enabled, and with this particularly texture (i was able to figure out that is magicicewisps.dds)
Transparency on this particle sort of not mixing with some other semitransparent effects or shaders. (like this misty place with water, or sky)

I tried to find something about that, or atleast some mod that replace this particle effect, but fail.

I tried replace magicicewisps.dds with other particles texture, and tried resave dds with different parameters, but it didnt helped me.

And i did't find in mesh folder nif file of this particles, because this i think it is vanilla particle (not from some mod)

I think, reason is not texture itlsef, but particle emitter.

Maybe someone know if it possible to fix this? Right now, it only one noticable graphic bug, in my case, and it very anoying.

(sorry for my clunky english)

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB

Could be bug in blending properties, but i believe it's just not ideally black color and alpha channel values. Easy to check in any image editor (except MS Paint  )

Hi.
I'v checked RGB of alpha channel, before asking (just forgot to mention), it is 0 0 0
Here it is https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/12629675/alpha.png
this is not vanilla, this is from mod (I hoped it will fix this bug, but no. On the other hand, now i know what file it is. I didn't want to donwload construction set, or what name it now bears.)
(also, if it was non 0 0 0 alpha channel, then squareness of texture would be visible anywhere, but in my case it appear only when rendered over sky, or water, or some myst effects)
I hoped, if someone else experienced this and was able to fix this.

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB

May i have saved game there and complete ENB preset? Any mods dependent too, without which bug is not visible.

Sure.

I have bunch of mod's (not over 9000, but bunch).
Now, i disabled them all, (left only DLC and official HD textures, and SKSE)
I also renamed meshes and textures folder, cuz they contained files from this particle patch for ENB, and maybe from some one or few mods that not supported by nexusmod manager.

And i downloaded clean save.

First, i noticed, that this bug almost invisible in clean game. Only in snow weather i was able one time saw little blending glitch. Because this i went to Blackreach (where i maked that screenshot), and there is bug visible clear.

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/126 ... ForENB.zip there is save file and enb's fx's and ini's

I think I've seen something similar, in which case it's a bug in the blending properties like Boris said. Since it's a spell effect it needs to fixed with CK if I remember right.

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB

It's not blending state. I'm trying to figure out is this bug of alpha depth of the mod, game shader or texture. Don't remember that code, so need some time.

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB

Sorry, i missed the bug in game shaders and copied it to mine. 1.0 added to alpha output value for that particle type, of course it produce that bug. It just not visible if i disable alpha depth (first implemented in 0.273 if i remember). I don't know how to fix it yet, because removing +1 means darker particles, multiply alpha by intensity of color channels is another change of particle look. Hard decision.
