Re: Dragon's Dogma 0.297
Scale is 0.5 in default preset, thats why I find it weird. I guess with 0.3 it wouldn't lag but I doubt thats gonna look pretty.
Gonna find the place with fps drop and test some values.

Well,
SamplingQuality=
Is the next thing to tweak, I suppose. I didnt notice FilterQuality to give me any fps drops. Aside from SSao, the only thing which really hits fps for is the DOF effect. Thats in 1080p, in 1440p DOf takes 10 fps or more. I guess if youre downsampling, lower ssao SizeScale or SourceTexturesScale wont be that noticeable.

Not sure if it has been mentioned before of if it's fixable, but AO seems to bleed through water (haven't noticed it with fog?):

If you need the save to fix, let me know Boris. I haven't shared DD saves before so I will have to look into which files I need to upload.

Re: Dragon's Dogma 0.297
While we're on the subject of performance:
I can't for the life of me find a decent configuration where I can run a consistent 1080/60 (forget 1440p) with ssao_ssil and skylighting enabled (with high precision rendering), even with SizeScale set to 0.33. I'll hit 60 in quite a few areas, but I'll also dip to 50~ in a lot of areas too reaching 45 fps in the worst cases.
I've got an i5 4690k @ 4.5Ghz and a Sapphire Tri-X 290 so I feel like it should be perfectly possible, but I haven't succeeded so far.
Am I just underestimating how much ambient occlusion costs?

For me, performance is really important, and with the latest update I don't see any banding artifacts.ENBSeries wrote:Folks, do you need special high precision rendering mode when game entirely forced to have hdr only and no color banding artifacts occur? Performance hit is heavy, but okay for 256+ bit videocards.
If there are any interiors in this game? I'm at the very beginning and I haven't seen any yet.

Options are always good if it can be toggled, but it depends on your time, for me i think its something for later and can wait till you have worked on other stuff.ENBSeries wrote:Folks, do you need special high precision rendering mode when game entirely forced to have hdr only and no color banding artifacts occur?
