forget all the 980 TIs and titan x. the new gtx 1080 is a monster and and the price is phenomenal. I 'm looking forward to the card.

Actually it's much more expensive than the previous cards.
As soon as Ti, Titan, Titan2, Black hit the market the early buyers are fucked, like every single time.

That's true, but that was expected from a 28 to 16nm process without having a 20nm generation.
