Re: TES Skyrim 0.308

I suppose he means the means that trap page (http://enbdev.com/_trap/) to avoid direct linking. That sometimes happens when using VPN, I remember I had this when I was accidentally still connected to my University VPN and tried to download an ENB binary.

Uh. But i can't turn this protection off, because site will be down from direct linking, Alexander Blade page is also hosted on my account.

Oyama
Nice to see you back! :D

I have a dual boot setup - W10 as my main OS and W7 for Skyrim - worth considering..

Nice new graphics cards by the way ;)

Re: TES Skyrim 0.308

Hay guys,
I've just found out that ENB will crash when loading exterior cell if enbeffect.fx is unpresent(or failed to compile) and [enblocal.ini]UseDefferedRendering= true with [enbseries.ini]UseEffect = true.
Also, turn off effect before loading seems to bypass the issue.
(tested on fresh installed vanilla game)

Just putting up a note here in case of anyone ran into the same problem.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.308

Sorry, i can't see this bug with default preset (but all effects enabled). Maybe it depends from something else. Try to check/uncheck various features.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.308

I had this bug too combined with parallaxterrain enabled. but It vanished some time ago (like it came for no reason) so I can't really track down the issue.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.308

I've also had several reports on STEP of v.308 not working and causing crashes at load, but reverting back to v.292 seems to fix the issue for most. Most of these users I believe are Windows 10 users which I know is not an officially supported platform. Most of the time I simply have to tell users to install the DirectX End-User Runtimes which installs some missing components that ENBSeries needs to run. However, the issue with v.308 does not seem to be related to that. I don't have any more details as they weren't really advanced enough to track down the actual cause, rather they simply reported using an older version of ENBSeries fixed it.

I know that is not much to go on, but it is all the information I have.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.308

I guess it could be hardware/system dependent? Considering loading interior cell is just fine as usual.
The only parameters that matters so far are:

[enblocal.ini]
UsePatchSpeedhackWithoutGraphics
UseDefferedRendering
[enbseries]
UseEffect

UseEffect = true, UseDefferedRendering = true & missing enbeffect.fx -->Crash
UseEffect = true, UseDefferedRendering = false & missing enbeffect.fx -->OK
UseEffect = false, UseDefferedRendering = true & missing enbeffect.fx -->OK

As seem to be graphic related, turning off every other individual effect and enblocal options still leads to CTD on exterior.
Also, it crashed as soon as entering loading scene. (tested on coc riverwood, coc whiterun)

Changing to older enbseries and drivers also didn't work.

Again, replacing the enbeffect.fx with working one fix the whole issue, so I'm pretty sure this is not the case other ppl are having.

offtopic:
I just found out there is a filmic tonemapper in some film making standard ACES process if anyone is interested.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.308

The thing is that not existing or failed to compile enbeffect.fx simply bypassed at all, no matter if deferred enabled or not. So i have no idea what to look at without having issue myself, it's unlogical.
