Skyrim LE at 2160p

I'm attempting to configure ini's for 2160p for the very first time. In the past I ran 1440p, so I vaguely remember some things...coming from 1080p again though.

Am I correct that I should disable AA and VSync completely? I mod Skyrim very heavily and thoroughly with as many 4K textures as I can find so I'm trying to stay above 30fps.

Anything different with:

Ambient Occlusion?
Anisotropic Filtering?
etc.

My specs:

i7-4790K @ 4.0GHz
16GB DDR3 2400 @ CL10
256GB SSD x 2
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
GTX 1070 8GB vram

Also, I understand that system ram is slower than vram, but vramsizetest always tells me I have 15968 MB available and when I set enblocal.ini to automatically detect it shows the same. I am also not able to go below 512 MB for reserved due to issues with pose and animation mods. 512 was the lowest that had no issues so I have stayed there ever since.

Will probably do Rudy vanilla to start.

Any help sincerely appreciated, and thank you for all the work on making ENB a reality! :)

Anisotropic filtering is almost free by performance. Screen space reflections (ssr) and almost any kind of ambient occlusions are heavy. There is nothing special, just try to change everything till performance will be comfortable.

Thank you for your response. I tried disabling Ambient Occlusion, but Rudy just seemed too unlike ENB without it. With VSync and AA completely disabled I got minor screen tearing. So I decided to just run it like I normally would, disabled DOF, lens, and sun glare.

Ended up with 25 to 45 fps, 25 mostly in cities. Going to try getting rid of JK's Skyrim next because I use a ton of 2K and 4K plants and flowers. Will miss ELFX, etc.

Still up in the air on which ENB preset to choose. Would like Rudy quality with better performance and maybe some old school DOF for screens.

Not familiar with performance ENB's so not sure what to try.

Re: Skyrim LE at 2160p

Was curious about the new ENB 318 binaries for LE, would you say they improve performance at all?

Bethesda ruined quite a bit with SE. I was getting really good frames at 2160p though - 45~55fps mostly.

I'm back to LE. Will just do 1440p if necessary. Always looked incredible for me in 1080p, so 1440p would still be an improvement.

Just missed LE ENB's, parallax, and certain mods too much!

Re: Skyrim LE at 2160p

List of changes clearly shows there are no performance changes.

I do not understand ENB like you...but thank you for letting me know.
