sss Its not only "through" but its basicaly light diffusion, in this game its very fake obviously
and there also some translucent (light through) objects like banners or flora, not sure about dragon wings.
there different sss power on this pictures - look on face and green trees
Bright stains in shades that you had only appear at certain values
I don't think is correct to disable this completely by set power to 0, It's just need some tweaking

That indeed looks pretty weak so its better to set it to fix the texture issues then try to get a good diffusion i would say, or try to find out why certain textures fail
but yeah i didn't expected something like
but even the current looks not bad if you try not to go to much into uncanny valley (bella faces *cough*) and those facegen characters seem some way believable if you also push them into the right light textures and facial expressions, not that bad
Though im still wondering what you can do wrong with Female characters to not get this definition like in most Male characters ingame without TFCing Celina looks like a puppet currently compared to this male NPC encounter i had

Yes, those shadows are already available. Does look uncanny when you tm the character editor away, right? I do that too sometimes.
Still struggling with days. Mostly because of ugly, washed out distant lands. I wish I could get the same distance fog as in vanilla (when I hit SHIFT-F12), but I guess my contrast settings make that impossible without going into the CK.
Also, incredible work guys. I loved your big post with the comparisons and all your images Insane Jack. Stunning work, and even if the colours are not totally my taste, technically I take my hat off to you. Crisper than crisp.
