[SSE] Mountain Fog bright, not processed correctly

I'm get bright mountain fog / volumetric fog. It seems like they aren't being processed correctly.

Here's an example: https://imgur.com/a/euTBl

The Volumetric Fog section works but weathers do not apply to them [regardless of whether IgnoreWeatherSystem is ticked] which means in foggy, snowy, and rainy conditions, they will stand out like that. They also stand out at night but I just lowered the nighttime intensity - that seems more like a workaround.

I tried both ENB versions 0327 and 0330 for SSE. Any thoughts?

IgnoreWeatherSystem is not what you think it is and this feature is not used at all yet, just reserved for the future (it only available in old Skyrim mod).

Alright. Still, that does not address the issue with the bright fog?

It means that for now you need to use CK if you want to make per-weather adjustments.

Huh, I thought I was just overlooking something, since I didn't find anyone talking about it online. This seems like a pretty significant thing, considering that in any non-clear weather the mountainfogs are gonna stick out like a sore thumb. Regardless, thanks for the info!

They stick not because of my mod, but how they tweaked by game developers. Parameters for their tweaking do not force values, but multiply existing, so if you set one value which look right for certain weather according to changes you made to environment ans sky categories, then all other weathers will look properly, in the meaning of game developers.

Re: [SSE] Mountain Fog bright, not processed correctly

I'm sorry, I'm not very knowledgeable in how weathers work and how ENB processes things.

I made Sky > GradientCurves 1.5 and Environment > FogColorCurves 1.5 as well, but I can't use the ENB settings to get the fogs to look right for that. Setting VolumetricFog > Curves from 1 to 1.5 seems like it would be right, but that only makes them brighter, and lowering intensity makes them look bad during clear weather.

So you're saying I should modify the fogs in Creation Kit? I can try that.

EDIT: It's worth mentioning they're also really bright on clear nights, but I just lowered the nighttime intensity. That seems like more of a bandaid than what is supposed to happen. You can understand why it seems like they're not being processed correctly. It's as if environmental conditions don't apply to them at all when ENB is enabled.

Re: [SSE] Mountain Fog bright, not processed correctly

Curve parameters have same math all, but it doesnt mean they look the same, because distant fog input values are in range 0..1, so if its lets say 0.5 and curver=2, output is 0.25 which is darker. Volumetric fog have input values in wider range, so if it 2 and curve is 2, output is 4.0, which is brighter.

Re: [SSE] Mountain Fog bright, not processed correctly

So in order to get VolumetricFog to match the rest of the scene, I need to use the Creation Kit? ENB can't do that?

Thanks for the help.

Re: [SSE] Mountain Fog bright, not processed correctly

ENBSeries can do this only for one weather type. So use Creation Kit or tweak parameters of the mod which do not make fog look different (dont touch fog curve at all).
