The Elder Scrolls Skyrim VR (SkyrimVR)

Graphic mod ENBSeries 0.354

Re: TES Skyrim VR 0.354

Hey Boris, this is fantastic as always ! Once again, I would like to warmly thank you for crafting this VR ENB now with nearly all the goodies from the flat screen version. Every upgrade you release steps up towards a more realistic and subtle lighting and that do add a realistic beauty to this game. That's really mind blowing in VR (when set properly, of course).

Here are the little issues i've witnessed so far:

The stereo SSAO effect is slightly broken: the shadowing looks slightly different in both eye (even while not moving head). This is strange because I remember that your ENB SSAO worked perfectly fine out-of-the-box in stereo a while back with nVidia 3D vision.

Also 0.353 and 0.354 has more jagged edges and flickering lines compared to 0.348 which seems to have a better overhaul AA.

Re: TES Skyrim VR 0.354

About edges, they can be more visible because i applied optimization by drawing to automatically scaled screen resolution which game define (DynamicScaling parameter), but in older i have used full resolution, which is slower. Regarding ssao, i hardly see difference, but i do not think it can be fixed much, cause it's screen space effect after all. I will think more, but doubt it.

Re: TES Skyrim VR 0.354

Ok, i see. Maybe it would be cool to have the possiblity to choose dynamic or full resolution to fix flickering and edges ?

SSAO : yes it's hard to see the differences but it's there: i have to crank up AO intensity and then it becomes slightly noticeable. That stereo processing was perfect with 3D vision and the old Skyrim ENB but it was also screenspace effect, right ?

A couple more things to report :

In Interiors, changing AOIntensityInterior's value does nothing: a very dark SSAO remains.

In exteriors, disableling Skylighting effect disable AmbiantOcclusion processing also.

Re: TES Skyrim VR 0.354

I'm computing ssao exteriors in same code as skylighting for performance reasons, but i forgot to make it separated also. About interior parameter, i made mistake and interior mixing type assigned instead of interior intensity. Will make an update soon. And about 3d vision, i cant tell anything.

Re: TES Skyrim VR 0.354

Thank you Boris! You make vr more awesome than it is. I agree with Ghanth that there is a problem with 3d ssao effect. Although it was much more before you updated the 0.354. There is still some left I think.

Thank you again for your work!
