Re: 1FPS with SSAO enabled

we are back to using
AntiFREEZE patch 9 ENBSeries 0.096 for TES Skyrim
no problems here (probably because no SSAO)

Re: 1FPS with SSAO enabled

Antialiasing forced in drivers perhaps. Or anysotropic filtering.

Re: 1FPS with SSAO enabled

Nvidia ssao must not be enabled. Don't know if it affect performance much. Anyway i have no idea what else can decrease performance, except antialiasing or anisotropy (ssao anisotropy filtering can't cost so much anyway, antialiasing also, if driver without bugs). Have you tried to remove skyrimprefs.ini and reconfigure?

Re: 1FPS with SSAO enabled

Try disabling IL in config.

PS: Boris, you can run game smooth with IL enabled on that 9600?

Re: 1FPS with SSAO enabled

Yes, even if antialiasing. It's all about drivers.

Re: 1FPS with SSAO enabled

F*ck amd, they kill otherwise great cards with drivers all the time...rage is still crashing after half year on every ati/amd i have with every drivers version...guess i'll have to switch back to nvidia then...which drivers are you using?

Re: 1FPS with SSAO enabled

forceware 197.45 for winxp. If you have gf9800, this version will be perfect also (but what for win7, don't know).

Re: 1FPS with SSAO enabled

Ok, so i was messsing around with that computer a bit today.

I set the nvidia settings to global default (for better FPS)

I found the problem.
What does Shift + F12 turn on? what it is, it looks really good.

with this featured turned on, and this also

// Disabling AO (enabling takes a huge hit on speed and will add flickerign to trees at low quality, but greatly improves skin and shadowing in game)
EnableAmbientOcclusion=true

the computer would get 1 FPS.

by setting EnableAmbientOcclusion=false, we can now play at 30FPS.
but wait, why is it at 30FPS?? its a high end computer as i mentioned before

the game looks amazing, the quality is very nice, but the FPS is only around 30....

the low FPS problem is not related to ENBseries, but I was wondering why it is so low. I looked around on another forum for help, and saw posts with people saying they also only get 30FPS, while others get 60FPS....

I also see this setting

[LIMITER]
WaitBusyRenderer=false
EnableFPSLimit=false
FPSLimit=30.0

but the value is set to false.....
so this cannot be it. (and i am pretty sure the FPS jumps above 30 at times, but i wasnt using this computer for very long so i dont remember)

why are you not using the latest 260.53 drivers? this is a skyrim-specific update

http://www.geforce.com/Drivers/Results/40610
your card is supported by this driver.

or do you believe the old version is the best? I know some people think for the 9000 series, the old version of the drivers works best.

Re: 1FPS with SSAO enabled

Alexander Blade also had problems with 30 or 60 fps (he is offline now, can't ask), don't remember what he did. May be somewhere in skyrimprefs.ini parameter for this limit hiding? ENBSeries limiter is not related to this when disabled.
I'm not using new drivers, because only with old i don't have any bugs in any games, compiled shaders are always correct and i don't have BSODs at all (of course have them with Skyrim anyway, if AntiBSOD disabled, but it's game problems). Also i don't believe in miracles that new drivers may increase performance, 1-5% at cost of stability? No way, 30-50% is another business, but not possible if game programmed bad.
