I am using SSE All in One... Is it possible to disable the smoke effects? It's much more visible but from some light sources there is too much visible smoke and it passes though hard surfaces.

Sure, but can you not control the particle intensity with [PARTICLE] parameters? If there are specific particle effects that are too bright compared to others please post a screenshot so that I can turn them down. If we remove the smoke effects from the patch altogether they can’t be controlled anyhow so they will most likely be too bright especially at night.

Hm interesting, I was finding the smoke more bright with the patch enabled and more subtle with it disabled. but I could be wrong... I just never noticed the smoke passing through rock before but the patch certainly seems to make smoke much more visible for me.

If it’s too bright you should lower the particle intensity for the corresponding time of day.

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB
Thanks, could my install/overwrite order have anything do with it? I am kinda unclear about if all mods should be given priority. Currently I have particle patched installed near the top and then all my mods are overwriting various particle patch files. Is that correct or should some of these be overwritten by the particle patch?

I don't think any mods should cause a problem with smoke effects. Have you checked whether you can control the particle intensity correctly? To do so, go in-game and to a location with bright particles such as the smoke you mentioned, open ENB GUI (ALT+ENTER by default, IIRC) and scroll down until you can see [PARTICLE]. Then adjust the intensity parameter for the current time-of-day in exterior or interior, depending on where you are. If that doesn't work, please post a screenshot and I'll check it myself too to see if there's something wrong.

In old skyrim (without your patch) i can see bugs of paticle lighting with this kind of fireplaces, kinda rotating thing with same shader and blending mode. Of course its good as sprite of light for tweaking, but its not okay for lighting effect, cause buggy geometry looking. Also there are others similar, not just in holes of the floor.

Yes, that's the one using a texture animation I mentioned earlier. I should probably replace those with particle effect although it will change it visually.

No, i mean not fire itself, but kinda glow around it. It is not quad(s), but custom shape similar to rays from windows.
