Checked, shadows from shields do work. Of course from some far distance they disappear, because too long shadows for tracing and they must have higher quality to consider tiny objects on screen as occluders, but even if i decrease ray length, shields barely cast shadows, too far for them.

One more thing. Don't know if this information will be helpful.
I can't illuminate the surrounding environment with spells or a torch (which Mindflux has just corrected) in a first person view. So I thought that maybe some camera mod will help. No luck, so far. But with a one mod, Skyrim - Enhanced Camera, it sometimes work, if I use a torch :

I cant control such things. In first person mode particles from spells turn to other type (more "global"). But tourch most likely do not work cause it's sprite position is crossing camera frustup plane, so it turns off by the game (smooth fade out is made by me when position close to 0). So probably some script which push sprite away always, may do the trick.

Fixed bug with some effects like mist not working properly.

Btw, here viewtopic.php?f=21&t=6144 sss reported as not working, any ideas how to see it myself?
