Re: TES Skyrim SE 0.371

I took a video since this is hard to describe.

I _think_ this is what they're talking about but I'm honestly not 100% sure

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mznds2rxDnM sunlight causes this flickering effect on character shadow
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1nZ_f-bOHKQ interior light has bad shadow edges, this is due to algorithm used in that shadow mask utility shader

But I don't think these are fixable without big changes to shadow shaders, dunno, I don't know much about graphics programming.

I'm just talking about the way shadows are cast when certain helmets/hoods are equipped. It's more accurate in Oldrim's ENB.

Thought the person asking you about it referred to inaccurate character shadows in his post, haha. Whoops

First your video is simply not enough resolution of the shadowmap for the technique they use, plus not good filtering method. On second video, i can't see, but tomorrow will check interiors.

It's detailed shadow and that guy don't know that pressing save and apply changes buttons must be used to see difference.

The Code Wizard strikes again, thank you!

So many beautiful features came to SSE these days, now I'll have to rebuild a load order in time for the next wave of presets :D

Thanks a lot. Now everything is perfect :)

I am also missing detailed shadows in the SE version, but my opinion doesn't count, I don't play SSE.

Re: TES Skyrim SE 0.371

When I have complex particle lights on, in some situations (like certain dungeons where a lot of candles are bundled together) I get a serious dip in performance, down from 60 clamped to sub-30. If I turn complex particle lights off, the problem's gone. Is this to be expected?
