Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB
I am noticing some really strong fog with the new ENB + Particle Patch. Namely FXFogFacing01 and FXFogRollingFacing01 which is 00034DB0 and 00034DB6 respectively, but especially the rolling one, it looks bizarre. Would really love to see someone do some work on them to make them less jarring and maybe a little more in the way of transparent. I don't use any weather or author ENB presets, just the base ENB and going through bleakfallsbarrow, especially in the room where the guy pulls the lever to get through the gate, its especially bad. Its in few enough places in the world that I might just remove them altogether in SSEEdit though to be honest.

I noticed that too but didn't have time to look into it yet, will try to do it later today.
EDIT: Please try now, found the bug in one of the more often used fog objects so maybe it was that.

That looks so much better! Maybe that's placebo talking, I don't think normally it would bother me as much how visible the fog is, but you can literally see it spin as you walk by and its really jarring. Like I think they intended it to look as if the air was moving the fog around but it doesn't look anything like that. I genuinely appreciate you looking into it, and furthermore for all of the work you have put into this mod!mindflux wrote:I noticed that too but didn't have time to look into it yet, will try to do it later today.

Thanks and don't mention it, I know exactly what you mean. My 'problem' too is that I'm pretty detail oriented so it doesn't take a lot of walking around in the game to notice all sorts of bothering issues. You can see that the game was worked on for a long time by a lot of different people with clearly too little attention paid to making it all consistent, or maybe they just ran out of time. But then again - at the end it is just a game, everything has a price tag in the game dev and I assume most people don't really notice or care.
Don't forget that the lighting and ambient intensity parameters in the [PARTICLE] category also affect many of these objects.

Hey Mindflux. I saw that the Magelights in Winterhold are not reacting to particle or fire settings. so they are just thin.

Try now - use [LIGHTSPRITE] and [COMPLEXPARTICLELIGHTS] parameters.

Hey Mindflux. I tried your advice with the lightsprite. Sure it gets brighter but at 1.0 its not nearly as bright as in first person. Something is wrong. a lot of particles are good in first person but not when they are in third person external from the character.
I have some examples for some particles that are still not working.
Flames of decaying dragon

Flames of Deadly Dragons Ground Fires (also the groundfires of some destruction staffs)

Flames of Olaf from the Bards College (surely the same as of the ground fires)

THis is with 1.0 Lightsprite and complex particles have no impact. In first person this light is pretty bright just like it should be -> when its hovering at your body and when the spell is in hand. but if the light is external it looks like this. Also in third person in hand.

Some other thing. Is this here fixable? Sometimes the bottles are not receiving any shadows.

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB
Not sure if this is the correct place to ask, but is it possible to reduce the intensity of flame flicker from light sources at night?
I use this, with an ENB and ENB Light

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB
Yes, depends on what exactly you're looking to reduce.
If the flame itself, reduce "IntensityNight" and possibly "IntensityInteriorNight" under [FIRE].
If the particle light cast by the candle, reduce "IntensityNight" and/or "IntensityInteriorNight" under [COMPLEXPARTICLELIGHTS].
Dragens
I'll take a look when I have time. Sometimes they used completely different effects for first and third person, which is probably why you're seeing the discrepancies.
The bottles are probably easy to fix, just something wrong with the mesh (likely shaders set up incorrectly).

Any ideas what could be causing this?

This is only really visible on the snow walls, like this one at Volskygge. I know this might not necessarily be from this mod but it does modify the glow effect which is fxglowspotlinearalpha.dds so I figured I would ask in case you know of a fix. This only shows with ENB turned on.
