ENB not functioning properly after upgrading video card

Tetrachromatic ENB is my favourite ENB. I play on Skyrim LE/Classic and haven't had any issues upgrading from a RX 480 to RX Vega 64. The ENB looks the same and runs better.

I've now upgraded to a 5700 XT but it looks wrong. Everything is darker (even darker than default/ENB-less), which should not be the case since Tetrachromatic ENB is super-saturated and vivid. I'm guessing some post-processing effects or something aren't working correctly with my new video card? Or could it be something else? If anyone has an idea please chime in. I've reinstalled my Vega 64 and it works as expected-- same driver and all.

EDIT: Not sure if it narrows it down. But something I can definitely tell is different is the sky. I should be able to see the clouds and stuff but with my new video card there's no clouds, mostly a solid colour (blue). I do not have this problem with my old card. Shadows don't appear as they do normally with ENB either.

Below is a post I made in AMD's support thread.

Skyrim (Legendary Edition/Classic):

Skyrim visuals/post-processing/colours with ENB don't look like they should-- overall image is much darker. This seems to happen with the 5700 XT because if I reinstall my Vega 64 the image is what I expect (same drivers and all).

System Configuration:

Motherboard: Asrock Z370 Extreme4

CPU: Intel i7 8700k

Memory: 16GB

GPU: 5700 XT (Formerly Vega 64)

VBIOS:

Driver: Crimson 19.9.2

OS: Windows 10 x64 (18362.329)

Steps to Reproduce:

Install driver 19.9.2

Install AMD RX 5700 XT

Install Skyrim (Legendary Edition/Classic)

Follow instructions to download Tetrachromatic ENB and ENB

Launch game and move to an outdoor location

Observe that the colours are not as bright and saturated as they should be. Compare to Vega 64

Expected Behavior:

Game runs smoothly with good performance with bright vivid colours as expected with Tetrachromatic ENB for Skyrim.

Actual Behavior:

Colours are much darker, not vivid.

Additional Observations:

i got the same problem too. after i upgrade from 960 to 5700xt(19.9.2), I've tried different ENB and got the same results but when i change back to my 960 my enb goes back to normal.

Sorry, but what do you want from me? It's very obvious where problem is, i am not driver developer from AMD to help here.

Re: ENB not functioning properly after upgrading video card

I get it. I figured it was on AMD's end but just wanted to see if you had any ideas what specifically isn't working. Looks like the best hope is that someone from AMD actually reads my situation and understands Skyrim ENB enough to fix it in a driver update.

Re: ENB not functioning properly after upgrading video card

All you can do is to wait or try any old versions and turn off effects, maybe some of them will be fine, some are buggy.

Re: ENB not functioning properly after upgrading video card

The first thing that came to mind is calibration or a reduce color range setting perhaps, I'm in the NVIDIA corner though so I don't know what options AMD drivers offer.
A quick search though led me to this: https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/d ... n_windows/
Which sounds more and more like something on the hardware side of things HAS change between your old/new cards.

I would look into, if you haven't already:
- Re-calibrating your card it self and your display: [ REF: https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/dh-021 ]
- In AMD display driver, check to see if the COLOR PIXEL FORMAT is set to ‘YCbCr 4:4:4’, if it is try changing it to ‘RGB 4:4:4’. [ REF: https://pcmonitors.info/articles/correc ... -amd-gpus/ ]

I wish you luck and a swift return to your game!

The problem is still there with the latest driver update (19.9.3). If everybody affected by this problem reports it to AMD, there's a better chance it'll be looked at. The squeaky wheel gets the oil ;)

Re: ENB not functioning properly after upgrading video card

Maybe we can all get on board with the same complaint to copy and paste in their reddit support thread. Here is the link to the thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/c ... egathread/

And here is my comment: https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/c ... ?context=3

I need to be able to explain it better though to be honest but my knowledge with this stuff is poor.

Re: ENB not functioning properly after upgrading video card

I've got problems since then with an RX 5700 XT as well, currently using amds' 19.9.3 driver.

Could you guys test something ingame? Wait until it's night in Skyrim.
Are the colours cheerfully and bright all of the sudden? And desaturated at daytime? That's switched in my game.

Next, go outside at daytime, open the enb GUI. Open "Weather", disable both options for testing purpose.
Now open "Bloom" and try to change AmountDay. Nothing changes, right? Now try AmountInteriorDay and you can control the exterior bloom with it, right?

Re: ENB not functioning properly after upgrading video card

The differences that you're noticing is due to a number of enb effects not working with the RX 5700 series and throwing presets out of whack. I'm currently using 19.10.1, so don't bother with that driver either.

The best thing to do is to contact AMD and report it. I suggest reporting the problem to them directly through their website:
