Might be the rain effect that you mean? It's being used at least in that small passage, and causes a flickering effect.
Not sure what the hell is that effect and where it comes from.

I didn't notice a problem with the rain effect, but maybe? Since it's ELFX that adds those effects in the cave, I'll test with it off and get back to you I guess.

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB
Thanks. I guess it might be something else as well but for some reason I'm not seeing it.
Up close, the rain looks like this (the black blobs):
In motion, it causes something like flickering and looks pretty shoddy.
I'm still to figure out where it comes from... it's not a hand-placed object.

I don't think I've seen the odd rain effect you're referring to.
Just tested again with ELFX off- same flicker in the same place, although now it looks like another effect according to console. This fxmistlow01adjust might be behind it?

Sorry, not seeing that issue no matter which direction the camera is pointed to. Which GPU?
Anyway, managed to fix the rain + a bunch of other stuff so SSE patch updated.

I have a 1070. And I did manage to see the rain droplets effect you were referring to, after all, when I went back to the entrance area of the dungeon. Got the latest update, too, thanks. I'm glad I at least helped direct you towards something new, even if we couldn't figure my issue out

Yes definitely, thanks for the heads-up. Still wondering about that flickering... there's probably something that causes it since I'm not seeing it, not without or with ELFX.
Are you using other mods that modify the light sources? Or what about modification to the ice material, anything specific you're using?
Also not sure about what I should be looking at in your screenshots, I can see no mist objects in those.

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB
No clue, I see the flickering effect in a lot of dungeons, it's definitely some sort of dark mist / smoke effect and I can see it even with ENB off. It's not super distracting but it's definitely there. I thought the culprit might have been this somehow, but it wasn't. It's hard to capture what I'm seeing with screenshots, I'd have to do video to show you.

Curious about this?
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecial ... mods/32117
These meshes don't seem to be part of the particle patch, well at least of em are, some of em aren't?

Oh, someone actually took the time to fix those. Years ago I fixed a number of similar cases that were reported but noticed that there were many more.
Seems great and definitely worth using.
