I know this is probably a silly question, you have probably considered this question before.
Will there ever be a possibility to switch enb presets in-game? You can do this with ReShade presets, for example.
I guess it would be more complicated since ENB presets use a lot more files and such, but maybe we could create several sub-folders in the ENB folder for each preset?
I understand and apologize if you're /facepalming while reading this XD
Cheers

Re: Switching ENB presets in-game?
Technically it is possible, but not gonna work completely, because some setting of the mod can't be changed without restarting game. It's minor problem, bigger one is how to define which presets to use, if most use well known folder "enbseries". Maybe create new, something like "enbpresets" and there put several named folders as separate presets each, while default still in enbseries folder. What's the point to have this feature? I am not in to copying something unless it's really worth to make and thought that it's not a big deal just to copy files while game is running to test any presets.

Re: Switching ENB presets in-game?
For me the point is just convenience... I like not only test presets, but just play the game with different ones. My heavily modded Skyrim takes a LONG time to load up at start-up (upwards for five minutes sometimes) so if I'm feeling whimsical and want another preset for a dungeon I'm going to run or a new world space I want to explore, it would be cool to be able to just "flip a switch" in-game to have, for example, a "dungeon delver" preset which has heavy black points and a very creepy horror feel to it.
Of course I totally understand if there are not a lot of players out there like me, and I can't imagine how much of a technical hassle it would be to implement (I really have no idea what that would entail). I can understand your reticence.
Thanks for the reply!

Re: Switching ENB presets in-game?
Hmm. Per location is not a big deal to adopt preset of any kind by copying data of enbseries.ini for interiors in simplest case or location id in hardest. But shaders can't be toggled on the fly from different presets, they have just one internal object each, so entering new area where preset is different means several seconds delay to recompile shaders. To make many shader clones internally means a lot of rework in the mod (so risk to introduce bugs if i miss any changes) and also startup time will increase accordingly to compile shaders for all presets listed. I dont have solution to these problems.

I see.
As I kind of guessed, a lot of technical hassle for a very small benefit.
I'm sure you work hard enough as it is!

Re: Switching ENB presets in-game?
Not really hard. Biggest issues come from boring tasks which are not related to graphics, but need attention. If i will find some idea about this, will try to make it.

Re: Switching ENB presets in-game?
I know this is old but I would love this! It takes far too long to restart Bethesda games to test different ENB presets. Would be nice if I could start the game once, test different then choose the one I like best then enable some kind of "performance mode" to stop loading the other presets.

Re: Switching ENB presets in-game?
Presets do not need restart of the game, files can be replaced any moment.
