Re: Skyrim SSE Water for ENB

You can try increasing the resolution used for SSR with this parameter in SkyrimPrefs.ini:

Code: Select all

[Display]
iReflectionResolutionDivider=2
Default is 2 but try increasing it to 4 or 8, can't remember how high you can go.

Actually, it was my load order which was a bit messed up. It seems to work fine now: https://imgur.com/a/ZemVco0

Good going, that definitely looks more like I intended.

Did you test the parameter I mentioned?

Re: Skyrim SSE Water for ENB

Yeah, I did, but I couldnt really see any difference (probably because my load order was messed up resulting in pixelated reflections, maybe it works better now)? Anyway, heres someone on the Nexus who seems to think that higher values gives "lower quality" and in order to get the best result you should use iReflectionResolutionDivider=1? I have no idea whats best here so Im keeping iReflectionResolutionDivider=2 for now...

"Since you're into reflections check out this skyrimprefs tweak:

iReflectionResolutionDivider=1

Setting it to 1 means your reflection quality is equal to game quality. Higher numbers lower the quality of reflections. I haven't checked with your mod but it just might affect object reflections. I tried it on water and it's really a big improvement.:"

He’s actually right, not sure what I was (not) thinking. The parameter governs how many times lower the reflections are rendered compared to the actual resolution, so the default 2 means they are half the resolution. A value of 1 should yield the highest resolution reflections and while it’s probably not something you would notice most of the time during actual gameplay, it should look better in screenshots.

Re: Skyrim SSE Water for ENB

Interesting, maybe Ill try out the value 1 later... or maybe raise it to 4 in hope of gaining a few fps... 8-) Thanks for the answer though!!

None specific, mostly just the default preset with some tweaks.

Re: Skyrim SSE Water for ENB

Update: Added "Omnidirectional" versions that remove distinct water flow direction from most water types, with large rivers being an exception (looks just odd like next to Riverwood).
