Thank you guys for explaining why I don't need the ESP plugin for Particle patch for ENB if using ENB Helper VR (plugin-free). So I still use the meshes and textures from this mod, Skyrim Particle Patch for ENB, and can ditch the ESP plugin if using ENB Helper VR. nice! ^_^
There's an ENB preset for Onyx VR Weathers called "hifiENB for Onyx by SGS" that does multipleWeathers. I don't know what if any ENB preset I have installed (I don't think I do or if it's needed, basic stuff I'm sorting out now).
I have no reason that I can remember of to use ENB Helper VR other than to save the plugin from this Particle patch. Though there might be as I had ENB Helper VR installed previously. I use Onyx VR Weathers and if that supports multipleWeathers then ENB Helper VR might be more useful than just saving me from using the Particle plugin.
(I've had issues with crashing entering areas with the Particle patch because I was using the older version of it.)

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB
If the preset makes use of the ENB weather system then yes, you should definitely use the ENB helper SKSE plugin. The ENB helper enables the preset authors to configure many important ENB parameters so that they better match the current weather, resulting in much more pleasing result. The plugin in the particle patch was created before the ENB helper was available, and it's in no way a replacement for it.

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB
Hello, im using the particle patch for sse and i found an issue, when i go to azura shrine and i stand anywhere in front of the statue i get some weird bug where a shadow follows my screen and when i open my world map it looks like there is a big shadow on it like this: https://imgur.com/a/94vOVuq
It seem is this file fxcameraattachblowingfog.nif, when i delete it the problem is fixed.

Thanks the report, that definitely seems something unexpected but I will check.

Had a question cause I want to make sure on conflicts. What is the general rule with this mod when it comes to other texture mods I love to use. SMIM, NobleSkyrim, and ELFX just to name a few.

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB
I always recommend letting all other mods overwrite the particle patch, the rationale being that not doing so might break the said mods and/or cause issues that might be tricky to solve for a common user.

Can confirm - we isolated this one earlier today when testing for the Nolvus guide, and found the same file to be the culprit. It can be a little tricky to reproduce, because for some reason it depends where you're standing. I thought I'd give you some repeatable steps (at least, the ones I used):Jakin wrote: ↑10 Feb 2021, 23:17 Hello, im using the particle patch for sse and i found an issue, when i go to azura shrine and i stand anywhere in front of the statue i get some weird bug where a shadow follows my screen and when i open my world map it looks like there is a big shadow on it like this: https://imgur.com/a/94vOVuq

* Head to Traitor's Post in the Northeast of the map
* Defeat the bandits so you have the place to yourself (it's a broken building so you're still in an outdoor cell)
* Walk to the northwest corner of the room, standing with your nose against the north wall, like so: https://imgur.com/a/5i4Cg9l
* Open your map and begin moving the camera to extreme angles downwards (straight up and down) and then rotate while moving around the map.
(NOTE: If you walk over to the fireplace and stand facing it, the fog/shadow will NOT appear on your map.)
The current weather didn't seem to matter, but I tested mostly with 10a244.
Depending on your angle/location, sometimes it will flicker/disappear as you rotate:

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB
Now that's one odd bug. Thanks for the detailed repro steps, I'll give it a go and see if I can figure it out.
---
Well, something very odd had happened and the file was completely wrong so no wonder odd glitches would occur. I had a hdd failure on the drive where the PP contents were stored at, which might be related.
Anyway, should be fixed now.

damn, thanks! your problem helped solve my problemntblood wrote: ↑04 Feb 2021, 18:48 I don't understand this installation instruction:
"Note that the plugin is only needed in case you do not use the SKSE weather plugin."
What is "the SKSE weather plugin"? There is no SKSE folder in this mod. I have Onyx VR weather installed (and it also has no SKSE folder).
Thanks
Does that mean the SKSE plugin from ENB Helper for weather? https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecial ... ?tab=files employee monitoring software
P.S.
I had a crash entering Dragonsreach until I disabled fxambbeamxbdustbig02.nif. Then I started getting a crash entering Breezehome with the Particle Patch and Distinct Interiors All-in-One mod installed. I'm not sure what version of the Particle ENB Patch I had installed. I downloaded the most recent one from 9-08-2020 and it seemed to fix crashing in both locations.
I read this old post:
"to fix CTD, delete the following meshes: Meshes - Effects - Ambient - ALL FILES which have the word dust (20 total in folder)" There's more than that
