Re: TES Skyrim
Awesome pics... that monster is the stuff of nightmares.
Can someone tell me what the [OBJECT]SubSurfaceScattering section does... and [LIGHTSPRITE] .... please I've not touched these settings.
To Vignette or not, that is the question...?
I think on balance I prefer it.. dunno.

@fedorrrz
Lovely images. Which of your presets are you using for those screenshots? Are the links uptodate for download?

Re: TES Skyrim
Thanks for the update, Boris!
DogStar, light sprite intensity and curve affect candlelight etc. effects - namely the sprite that's drawn around the light source. It doesn't affect the light intensity itself, as you probably guessed. Test somewhere with candles and you'll see right away what I'm talking about. Subsurface scattering is a light transport method that has a major effect on light penetrating surfaces such as skin and leaves. Change the values and check your character's face or leaves and you'll notice the effect. Be careful not to dial in too much as it has a tendency of resulting in an aliased countour on skin (seen sometimes on screenshots). Also, the lower you go on power the redder the faces get.

Those two images are fantastic! What texture mods are you using for the buildings?

Feel free to use whatever you like from my settings. If it gets you the right results, all the better Gradients can be tricky though, as they're heavily impacted by curves and the palette texture itself. They're probably the thing I tend to change the most.

Great screens! I was obsessively screen-shooting that ruin just today, it's such a nice area in the game.

I tested some more and in the end optimizing everything will take the most time just ran through the normal Gameply Helgeen Keep Intro and running through the Keep was crazy Render times dropped down some Viewpoints into the range of 1 or 2 fps other viewpoints again 25 30 fps very strange behavior for not seeing more details @ all, outside renders definitely faster then inside.
