Here's the opposite: Even if I want to have it, I get no shadows on grass and I don't know why...

Re: TES Skyrim 0.114 beta
Do you have bShadowsOnGrass=1 in your SkyrimPrefs.ini?
Also check these are enabled:
bTreesReceiveShadows=1
bDrawLandShadows=1
bDrawShadows=1

Re: TES Skyrim 0.114 beta
SkyrimPrefs.ini
[Display]
bTreesReceiveShadows=1
bDrawLandShadows=1
bDrawShadows=1
bShadowsOnGrass=1
[Grass]
b30GrassVS=1
fGrassStartFadeDistance=7000
fGrassMaxStartFadeDistance=7000.0000
fGrassMinStartFadeDistance=3000.0000
bGrassPointLighting=1
bDrawShaderGrass=1
bShadowsOnGrass=1
Skyrim.ini
[Display]
bShadowsOnGrass=1
[Grass]
bShadowsOnGrass=1
bAllowCreateGrass=1
bAllowLoadGrass=1
iMinGrassSize=20
Perhaps 4 times is too much and deactivate it again?

Uh, that's odd
Maybe you could make a backup of both Skyrim ini files (or better still, simply rename them), let the game generate new ones, enable the shadows and see what happens.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.114 beta
Have done that already.
Don't know, why they are missing, maybe totally enb unrelated.
But I have another question for Boris:
It's summer time, outside it's bright and I see reflections on my screen, it's nearly like a mirror.
In most cases, I just increase brightness of the screen and I'm happy with it (for games like World of Tanks, TeamFortress2, Star Trek Online, Diablo3 and browsing the internet).
But...well, we moved from Hamburg to Berlin, my room is now less dark (my wife wouldn't let me set up my PC in the living room) and even with screen brightness and skyrim gamma set to max I can't see anything in Skyrim at night or in dungeons.
And until 10pm the sun won't go down, so....is it possible, to include an overall-brightness-value in the next version?
I could tweak the .ini for night-values to be bright enough, but then there would be nearly no difference to day-settings, so I would loose day-night-cycles and a lot of immersion and reality.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.114 beta
Isn't that easier to write single line in to enbeffect.fx to control brightness or whatever you want?

Re: TES Skyrim 0.114 beta
Let me guess... Put this into your post-process:
Where 2 is the brightness multiplier you want.
If you're using HD6's enbeffect.fx he already put a temp quick-key for brightness - can't remember what it is off the top of my head, but check the beginning of the file.
Code: Select all
color.xyz*=2

Re: TES Skyrim 0.114 beta
Yeah, you're right.
I just never think about that.
For me, the .ini is the file to control everything.
The other files are kind of "uneditable" for me.
See, I like to have everything in sight at once and don't like switching through different files.
But nevermind, I'll edit enbeffect.fx.
No, I'm not using HD6s preset, I prefer Stakados Realistic, a little bit tweaked by myself.
It's quite outdated, last preset was for 0.108, but I changed it with every new version ob enb and it growed and growed and got better and better and I'm used to it now.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.114 beta
@Boris
Is it possible to make the Indirect Lightning working on Point Lights for example the Flame Spell equipped in the hand so it would illuminate it's surrounding ? also Fireballs actually tracking the light on the ground on its flight path ?
It feels odd you have glowing hands but nothing except the spot around your body gets illuminated and you need a torch to compensate, or is it maybe possible to replace those with dynamic lights in CK ?
