Re: Black Mesa 0.076a

CyclicConfigReading=1 is the only way to reload automatically config from enbseries.ini (each 5 seconds).

Re: Black Mesa 0.076a

Unfortunately it does not seem to play nice with ATI cards. Here's it running on my HD7950 (12.8 drivers):

Notice the dark shade around the gun? It appears around every weapon and blocks much of my visibility.

Re: Black Mesa 0.076a

It's generic old version which apply ssao for all objects without filtering them, nothing similar to newest mods.

Re: Black Mesa 0.076a

Thanks for CyclicConfigReading=1 tip.

It's strange, but I can't get SSAO and DOF to work in this version.
DOF enables sometimes, but incorrectly (full screen blur). Then, after changing one of parameters in the ini, disables completely again. If revert same parameter back, nothing changing.
AA is off, if it's important.

Code: Select all

EnableDepthOfField=1
....
[DEPTHOFFIELD]
DOFQuality=0
DOFNumberOfPasses=1
DOFFocusRange=50
DOFBlurinessRange=5
DOFFadeTime=200
DOFFiltered=1
What am I missing?

Re: Black Mesa 0.076a

Anyone have good settings for SSAO yet?

Re: Black Mesa 0.076a

For SSAO, try this:

[SSAO]
UseFilter=1
OcclusionQuality=0
FilterQuality=0
DarkeningLevel=24
BrighteningLevel=3
IlluminationLevel=3
AdditiveIlluminationLevel=16
UseAmbientOcclusion=1
UseIndirectLighting=1
FadeDistance=30
UseForAlphaTest=1
UseForAlphaBlend=0
TextureQuality=0

I will be posting a config for Black Mesa with some screenshots soon.

That's a lot better, thank you.

Re: Black Mesa 0.076a

I'm having an issue with ssao (nvidia gtx460 306.23 drivers) and was wondering if it's a common occurrence. It seems to be "wobbling" all over and is pretty loosely positioned around objects (not tight). I tried different as well as default settings but to no avail. Here's a video illustrating the prob:

On the other hand ao looks way better than the old one (hl2) and the performance is incredible, it went from ~20fps on 0.0075 to ~70 on this one :shock:

Re: Black Mesa 0.076a

I have exactly same problem on AMD Radeon 5770 (latest drivers). And in my case ssao effect presents only around some objects like grill on the floor and lamps. + DOF not working at all.
I thought it's AMD related issue....

Re: Black Mesa 0.076a

I also have ati 5770 and I really cannot tell a difference between using this newer one compared to using 0.74.

I have found that the 0.74 with enbpalate for the color correction and contrast works the most and is most compatible with most games, I cannot express how happy I am with these 3 simple files. It it the only zip package I actually keep on my desktop because as soon as I buy a game I instantly try to stick it it, and it usually works!
