Not too sure I'd really want them to work exactly as designed though.

For example, with your patch overwritten by Realistic Water Two, the water foams are bright at night, as if they glow in the dark. However, when your patch overwrites, the water foams are lit correctly.

You actually gave this example in your original post, saying the water foams may be set to [FIRE] instead of [PARTICLE]. Where do I find those parameters so I can change them myself? MO2 lists the names of the conflicting meshes anyway, so it won't be that hard to find them.

I'm not sure what the meshes of RWT change from vanilla, but I should probably keep them, so I'd rather just change their parameters manually instead of overwrite them.

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB

Not really a good plan since many of the meshes require extensive editing and giving exact info on how to edit each one is impossible. It wouldn't be worth the trouble either, not in my opinion anyway.

For the water meshes, I don't remember the specifics but you can at least check that the alpha blending flags are set correctly (4333 instead of 4109).

On the other hand, you could simply just visually compare the vanilla mesh and the one from RWT to see if there's a meaningful difference. Sometimes the mod authors only change something very slightly, like increase the emission intensity by little, which doesn't really make much difference anyway and can be disregarded in my opinion.

Where is that waterfall, by the way? Some of the water mist effects seems buggy (unless of course your particle intensity was set too high).

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB

I'm very sorry. I should have tested Realistic Water Two on its own before I made my conclusion. It actually looks great.
It turns out the culprits are Enhanced Textures Detail (UV-tweaks) and Majestic Mountains. (By the way, I'm using Obsidian Weathers to make nights a bit darker.)

I'll report it in their mod pages. Meanwhile, I guess I'll just have to hide those conflicting files in MO2.

That waterfall is near Valtheim Towers. And yeah, turns out the Particle Intensity was too high. I didn't know there was a setting for that and I just had to bear with it for hours of gameplay.
I turned the intensity from 1.0 way down to 0.2 and it looks fine now. I guess I'll just have to tell the author of Rudy ENB about it.

Skyrim particle patch for ENB SSE
I opened plugin from latest version(29/10/2018) in SSEEdit and found that it overrides records from USSEP. Any advice on this?
Is there any problem if I use meshes and textures without plugin?

EDIT: Thank you

No problem at all, the meshes and the plugin can be used separately.

Thanks for the heads-up, I'll integrate USSEP changes to the plugin.

EDIT: Done.

Hello Mindflux,

It seems I have discovered some issue with subsurface scattering, multiple mods using decals /shaders which are cancelling the SSS effect.

Keep it clean - dirt overlay
Frostfall - wet and frost shader.
I am sure there are more out there, basically every mod which applies texture overlay /specific type of shader will cancel the SSS it seems. Can this be solved somehow?

Re: Skyrim particle patch for ENB

I took a look and see the problem. What all these mods have in common is that they use these weird old-school Effect Shaders that are set up in the CK, similar to some other effects. That said, I'm not sure what gives - alpha blending seems to be configured properly, textures are fine but the problem persists. It's probably something that Boris needs to take a look if he feels like it.

It's easiest to test with Wet & Cold because it doesn't require SKSE and one only needs to dip into the sea in the cold region to see the bug.

Shall I post this for Boris as well or he is aware of the problem?
