@Nearox
Do me a favor..
Try with both of these, they require Steam:
512 - 256 blocks
768 - 512 blocks
If they still don't work for you.. then try all these some will crash on startup, it's normal, just try another.

Nearox, if you manage to solve crashes, please post here. Since I also have them still happening, even though game became much more stable
Aminados: going to check those

Thanks for the observation Malizeus.
That sounds indeed like a huge difference between your system and mine. Hmmm it's hard to find solid info on Heap on the internet but I'll keep looking. Really curious now...

@Nearox
I can see you have lots of memory free so that is not the issue. It is Win7 64 bit right?
The first crash is outside of tesv.exe. This can happen, but then it is pretty much hard to follow up on.
The second crash report is interesting. Did you compile a release or debug version of the dll?
Cell transition crashes happen right when touching the yellow line shown by console tb command.
But judging by the VMMap screenshots this is not a main memory related crash.
VRAM not exhausted?
Hardware is not overheating? Any Overclocking?
I m afraid you will have to try to find a spot where the game always crashes and then do some good old troubleshooting.
make sure to have default inis plus the safe settings for enb
disable mods one by one / or enable mods one by one.
if you cant find a concrete spot where it always crashes could point to a spawn mod, i would disable those first.

Yeah it is Win7 64bit. I got 16gb system ram, not overclocked.sheson wrote:@Nearox

What do you mean, outside of tesv.exe? Is it another app/dll hooked onto the tesv process which is causing it to crash? Only using enboost, SPM & SweetFX I think. Is it a driver perhaps? The first crash is outside of tesv.exe. This can happen, but then it is pretty much hard to follow up on.

VRAM use is at 1700-1800 max out of 2gb. Nothing is overclocked except the cpu (i5 2500k) which has been tested thoroughly with different stress testers (prime95, IT etc.)Cell transition crashes happen right when touching the yellow line shown by console tb command.

I'll try your suggestion about spawn mod, but I highly doubt that is the issue. Only using SIC and it is very stable for other users.
Thanks for the help btw!

Thank you for the patch, and the universal version, too.
Since installing the patch, I have experienced purple textures with CTD a couple of times -an issue I had not experienced before (though I am unsure if it is a result of the patch or not).

Re: Skyrim Memory Patch - fixing ILS, uGrids CTD, freezes
Hey, thanks for the patch. Great work!! :geek:
I used the dll from the download link here in the forum.
And i use the newest ENB + 20 mods,
Steamversion
SKSE is up to date with the compiled dll
Here is my problem:
When i start the game with ExpandSystemMemoryX64=true ,then fails loading the menue in the startscreen of the game.
only the sign from skyrim is visible and the text from the ENB in the upper left corner.
like continue game and options... ect.
the only way to exit the game, is ctrl + alt + del / end task
When i start the game with ExpandSystemMemoryX64=false ,then is all okay, but the memory extension is set to OFF ?!
Same thing here, when i use the original skse_steam_loader.dll
Anybody a hint for a solution?
My Specs:
CPU: 2600k @ 4.5 GHz
GPU: Nvidia GTX 580 / 3 GB VRAM
RAM: 16 GB
SYSTEM: Windows 7 Pro 64x

Re: Skyrim Memory Patch - fixing ILS, uGrids CTD, freezes
It's been a long time since I exited Skyrim on my own rather than the game deciding that it's time to meet my desktop. I'm pretty sure that once the word has spread, this will be one of the biggest news for Skyrim modding. This little "fix" has FREED my game.
Running a heavily modded Skyrim, 170+ esp's that mostly add spawns, NPC's, flora, structures, HD texture mods and using an ENB, I honestly thought that I could never get my game stable. Like most people here, I spent countless hours optimizing only to still be disappointed with the constant CTD's. With this I can now go to places where normally I would crash. I can now watch the battles of Immersive Patrols and Populated Civil War unfold. I can now run Populated Series Mods/Inconsequential NPC's/Interesting NPC's/Immersive Patrols/Random Encounters/Immersive Creatures/Monster Mod and be stable with 40-60 fps. Still testing but cross fingers, hopefully this is the answer.
It's going to feel weird to actually play Skyrim rather than fixing and tweaking Skyrim. Thank you so much for this!!!
