Re: TES Skyrim

Ah alright, started to suspect something like that.

Try this one: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/894 ... nest01.zip

It's got parallax enabled but heigthmap is missing.

Maybe the issue was because it was marked as a decal, not sure.

Re: TES Skyrim

The chicken nest is fine(apart from being too bright, forgot the spec map), it's about the hay mesh whose shadow shines through other objects and below it.

Same problem with vanilla meshes, I think it's a mistake by JK (JK whiterun) placing it wrong on the terrain mesh.

Re: TES Skyrim

It might be an issue with the underlying mesh actually, it's likely a decal too.

Re: TES Skyrim

Yeah, I now noticed the issue too by manually placing a chicken nest on that stack of hay.

Not sure if you can fix that since you cannot disable the decal flag, otherwise the object will be most likely floating.

Bugthesda... The first type hay stack is a decal so it's of course placed pretty freely, floating somewhat above the terrain. However, the second type is not a decal and true enough it's carefully placed so that it's snapped to the terrain and not floating. Nice.
